Just one look from Zhe Yan had all of them quickly bringing themselves to order. Everyone present knew Zhe Yan as a benevolent man, a jovial one who loved to laugh, and he found laughter in almost every given situation no matter how dire. His ability to laugh in the face of adversity had always been his greatest strength and to everyone there, it was what they all loved the most about him.
But the flame that was burning brightly behind his eyes had them paying close attention. This was a side of Zhe Yan that they rarely got to see, if anything he was the most calmest of them all, including Mo Yuan, so to see him this angry, even he knew to keep quiet, because when this man erupted the whole world knew about it.
"Xiao Wu, take Feng Jiu back to Qing Qiu." he ordered which Bai Qian knew to obey immediately.
Quickly wrapping her arm around the girls shoulder, she began to lead her out of the Palace. Though the moment Feng Jiu made a move to protest, Zhe Yans head whipped around so sharply, that her face instantly crumbled in fear. She felt the heat from his eyes shatter every thought in her mind and her body weaken to the point of collapse, that Bai Qian quickly forced her out the door and away from his raging energy before he caused her anymore harm.
Frightened herself and with a now tearful and scared niece to contend with, she did not try to listen to what was happening behind her, but she did snatch hold of Ye Huas hand who was hovering outside, and order him back to the Festival while she took Feng Jiu for a walk to calm her down before they left for home.
"Take one more step and I will take your feet out from under you. Sit down!" Zhe Yans soft whiplash of a voice stilled any attempt that Di Jun had of taking another step towards the door whil Bai Zhi and Si Ming moved back.
"Zhe Yan calm down. There's no need for that level of anger." Mo Yuan said in his own soft authoritative tone while Bai Zhi flicked his eyes at Si Ming, which he took to mean that he should leave.
And though he did leave, he was not too far away should he be needed. When it came to these powerful High Gods who were all on a par with Di Jun, Si Ming did not argue but he did inform the guards to keep the Palace closed to everyone.
"Oh really?" he replied angrily at Di Jun where his eyes had remained the entire time.
"Not only did you humiliate that girl in front of the entire world, but you lowered yourself along with her. What the hell is going through your head?" he snapped while completely ignoring Mo Yuan who had taken a step towards him.
Sighing, Mo Yuan stood between the two to break eye contact and bring Zhe Yan back under control. They could all feel the Phoenix energy heating up the room and if he didn't calm him down, it would erupt.
"Zhe Yan, the girl is fine, she has left with Bai Qian and the Festival is still in progress." he said reaching out to place his hand on his shoulder which was smoldering.
"That little girl is kin to me, she did not deserve to be treated so abominably. That you thought it was fine to storm out with her over your shoulder crying is one thing, but to create this much mayhem that your own guards have surrounded your Palace while the worlds youth are still guests and being chaperoned by no one, is a very big slip in judgement Di Jun. Now sit down!" he hollered before pushing Mo Yuan out of his way.
"Zhe Yan!" Mo Yuans voice whipped over the top of his own as Bai Zhi moved towards him.
"She is my Granddaughter Zhe Yan, I will deal with this." he snapped having heard more than enough and being already angry he was in no mood to be bossed around or yelled at. But the quick flicker of pain instantly softened his expression.
