Kunlun Mountain Part 4 - The Return

Chapter 43 - The World Waits

They made love again after that, and again after that.  Mo Yuans thirst for her body that had grown so beautiful in his absence was insatiable.  She had literally forced those harem women from his head, every question they both had, was answered and there was nothing holding them back any longer.

The equivalent of three months had passed them by so quickly, but with all the time in the world, they were in no rush to head back.  Now in the hot pool,  she was leaned in against him, his arms were firmly wrapped about her stomach and their eyes were raised to the cosmos above them.

They had spent most of the traveling the vast expanse of space, visiting old friends and making new ones as they went. Though Bai Qian rarely traveled new worlds in Mo Yuans absence, she just didn't feel comfortable without him.

But very much like before, they kept themselves behind a barrier for most of it.  Some worlds were just too dangerous to travel without some form of protection, but always they learned something new, met a new friend and found places they would visit again in the future.  

"It is so hard to believe you are finally here Mo Yuan.  For years and years I brought our son here to massage your body.  I told him many stories of your gallantry and also my time at Kunlun Mountain with my brothers." She said as a star flew over head.

"Then after he was taken away, I continued coming on my own.  But I never gave up the thought that this day would come." she said smiling happily.

Listening to her talk, Mo Yuans heart ached for the long years of loneliness he had put her through, but the thought of his son had him looking down at her with a soft smile.

"Gaogui.  I love his name.  He is truly a beautiful young man.  But I wonder if there is any way we can help him to move passed the blood bloom.  I do not like that he cannot take a woman, is there nothing we can do?" he asked, though he had every intention of pouring over his manuals and old books when he returned, or at least to learn as much as he could to understand it.

Shaking her head sadly, she told him of her long years among the Orchid People and what she had learned under them.  

"The blood bloom is too powerful, the dose he was given saved him, but unfortunately he will be the only one of his kind.  However, having said that, his life will no doubt exceed the length of time anyone has ever lived, he will be a part of our world for a very very long time." she said softly.

But Mo Yuan could not accept that.  His son was special, that was true, but no man should have to live without companionship.  Even Di Jun had known it in his youth, in fact he had known many things the world would no doubt find amazing, but for his son to be the only one among them to live completely alone, was not something he could accept.

She knew these thoughts were raging through his head, but as far as she was aware, there was nothing to be done about it, though a small voice whispered that if anyone could find a way around it, it would be him, but she had to let him know of the findings as she knew them.

"Not even they know of a way around it Mo Yuan, and they know everything." she said firmly, not wanting him to get his hopes up only to have them crushed in the end.

"They do not know everything Qian Qian.  They did not know the Creation Chamber would fail to the extent it did, so maybe this too is something they do not have the knowledge of." he said hopefully.

"Mo Yuan?" she asked having one last question to ask him, and wanting his mind off their son for a few hours at least, knowing that once his thoughts became too focused, it would be difficult to move him away from them.

Smiling down at her upturned face, he knew what she had just done.  She always hit him with some random question or fact when she felt his mind was not on her long enough, it seemed she had not changed in that respect.
