Waking well into mid morning, Mo Yuan groaned softly at the bright light spilling into the chamber.

"Does the light hurt your eyes Mo Yuan." Zhe Yan asked as loud as he could while smirking at the lump under the blankets trying to disappear under them even more.

"Quietly please Zhe Yan." he whispered.

"I'm afraid I can't do that." he yelled out cheerfully while pulling the blanket off the bed.  Then racing across the room to open the other two windows to let in even more light, the groaning from the bed grew in intensity.

"Aww.  Does your head hurt?" he yelled as he reached for the sobering soup while keeping the pain relief hidden in his inner pocket.

"Why does my head hurt and why is there a lump on it." he asked as his hand gingerly touched the small bump in the middle of his forehead.

"Well that would be because I punched you in the head." he smirked at him before handing over the sobering soup.

Glaring at him, Mo Yuan took the soup and in five mouthfuls it was gone before another was pushed into his hands and then another.

"What happened?  Why would you punch me?" he asked grimacing as the third bowl disappeared before waving away the fourth.

"Because you were acting like an asshole Mo Yuan." he said staring at him.  "A bastard even." he added after a little thought.  "What do you remember?" he asked sitting on the side of the bed watching him closely.

Now that he had the sobering soup in his system, a very healthy dose of shame began to creep up on him as the nights events came back to mind.

"Oh no...." He whispered as everything he said and did was replayed in his mind, including a secret he had managed to keep hidden for millennia.  But before he tackled that problem, he had to deal with Zhe Yan first.

"I'm sorry,  I know it's no excuse, but I got too drunk and you know what I'm like when I drink too much.  I tend to say things that are not true to my nature.  I'm sorry." he said sitting up with his head in his hands.

Grinning at him, Zhe Yan watched as the cheeks flushed bright red and the eyes hooded over in shame.  He was no longer angry, having felt better after punching him, but that didn't mean he wouldn't use it against him.  Mo Yuan had literally handed him a bargaining chip and he planned on using it.

"You know.  What you did was hurtful.  You know I don't like to visit the Mortal Realm, and I only went to support you, something friends do for each other." he said becoming serious.  "But to be forced into a bar brawl of all things and thoroughly embarrassed on top of it all, well you know Mo Yuan.... you placed me in a very tight spot." he said calmly but inflicting as much pain into his words as he could.

Groaning at the harsh berating, something he had not received in a very long time, Zhe Yan could see he was embarrassed but he waited until he was able to form a response.

"Zhe Yan, I am truly sorry for what I did and said.  If there is a way I can compensate you, then just say it." Mo Yuan said feeling thoroughly ashamed of himself.

Smiling at him, Mo Yuan groaned again.  He knew Zhe Yan would use his shame for his own gain, but having no leg to stand on, he waited for the axe to fall.

"Well, there is something you can do for me.  However, I think you also need to speak to your son.  He was not impressed with the secrets you spilled last night.  And I am sure, when Xiao Wu finds out, she too is not going to be happy with you." he said as the smirk grew wider.

Jumping, Mo Yuans eyes widened.  "You can't tell her Zhe Yan, please." he begged knowing that Bai Qian would definitely lose her temper with him, though not so much for the act which was bad enough, but that he spilled it out in a drunken blabber to his own son, Ye Hua, Di Jun and Zhe Yan.
