The Nine Pillars
In the air high above the land, Zhe Yan studied the Nine Pillars. The enormous power coming from the construction prevented him from getting too close to the barrier that surrounded it, but he was close enough to get a feel for the energy.
"Xiao Wu..." he whispered in reverence.
Shaking his head in wonder as he took in he perfectly symmetrical construction that was throbbing with an energy he could only dream of, Zhe Yan began to wonder how he could release it. The situation below was becoming desperate. With a weak power source which Di Jun was controlling, the people were weakening too quickly. Even he had lost so much of his elite cultivation that just being as close as he was to her construction was quickly rejuvenating him.
However, he could not allow this fact to be known. Di Jun had placed a ban on the construction, so it was possible he also knew and the last thing they needed was thousands filling the skies in a crazy rush to energize themselves. It would cause absolute mayhem.
But the closer he got to it, the overwhelming power of it, forced him back. He could actually feel it burning into him.
"Xiao Wu, how do I release it?" he asked. He could find no way in, and no way to release the energy for them all, which he knew she had created for them all. Only she almost died, and it was then that he realized he could do nothing. Only she had to the power and knowledge to save them.
Circling the huge construction, he instead continued to study it. Each Pillar was pure essence that throbbed from the power she had placed into each one. But as he continued to circle the construction, he realized, the pillars were living forms that seemed to be drawing power from an outside source.
With his phoenix sight fully open, he focused solely on one pillar only. And it was then that he saw they were indeed being fed. From the crystal dais they were resting on, the one she had created to not only collapse the Creation Chamber beneath it, but it was the Creation Chamber itself that was feeding the dais which in turn was feeding the Pillars.
With his inner sight, he also saw that the crystal dais itself was producing the enormous amount of energy as well as the barrier around it.
"Were you aware that Quartz Crystal is a natural conductor of energy Xiao Wu? Is that why you created it? he asked out loud. In awe of her creation, Zhe Yan slowly backed away, having managed to increase his energy tenfold.
"Zhe Yan." a familiar voice called to him.
Turning, he smiled as Di Jun drew closer. "I came to see if I could release its energy." He explained with a guilty grin on his face.
But Di Jun merely joined him as he too looked at the creation in wonder. "It is magnificent." he whispered in reverence.
"The Quartz Dais Di Jun. It is what's feeding the Pillars." he said excitedly.
"Yes it is. The Crystal Dais is also pure energy, it is literally indestructible because the Creation Chamber that is feeding it, contains the energy of the very Chaos itself, an entity that is neither living nor dead, it is an mediator if you like for the source and therefore indestructible." he said turning towards him and giving him a quick glance over.
"I see you have re energised yourself sufficiently. Perhaps you could drop in on Kunlun Mountain. Mo Yuan has left and they are in need of your expertise and energy." he said before turning back to the Nine Pillars.
"Mo Yuan has left? Where did he go?" Zhe Yan asked frowning.
But the look Di Jun gave him told him he didn't know and nor was he impressed with his disappearance.
