Epilogue 1 - Gaogui 1 (NSFW)

The birth of his little brothers two days before, had seen Gaogui briefly taking over the official role of welcoming the leaders from all over the world as Mo Yuan could not be pulled away from the nursery or his wife.  Coming to pay their respects and bringing more gifts, Gaogui got a taste of the respect they held for his parents as well as what it meant to be the son of such honoured parents.

Not only was he bowed to by men four times his age, he too was respected even though he did not truly understand the ranking system or even his own place in it.  This was something Die Feng had to teach him, because the Orchid People did not have a ranking system.

"I know that my Parents hold exceptionally high ranks among the people, but I do not understand how myself and Ye Hua are considered to be only a step down when we are much younger than the men who visited today." he said confused.  Because in his young mind, at just a mere 50,000 years of age, he considered himself a boy and any ranking should be based on age rather than merit.

"Gaogui, it is because of your lineage.  Not only do you directly link to The Heavenly Lord and Mother, you are also of the Orchid People.  Therefore,  when you ascend to High God, you will stand on a par with Shifu and Mother." he replied while trying to keep the awe out of his tone knowing the boy hated it.

"Ye Hua too is of the same line to The Heavenly Lord and Mother, the highest Deity under The Orchid People as far as our world is concerned.  When he ascends to High God, he too will stand on a par with you."

"However, Mother technically outranks you all, including Lord Di Jun regardless of his vast age and origins, that too is because of her original origins which you also claim." he said having spent some time learning their history from Gaogui himself.

But he already knew all of this, however, he did not understand why the need for rank, but then he guessed he would never truly understand it because he did not see himself above all others, and nor did his mother who was still struggling with her titles.  As far as they were both concerned, basic respect was all that was needed.

Deciding to let it rest, he left Die Feng in the hall preparing for the next wave of visitors while he went in search of his father.  He did not mind standing in, but the reverence for himself was beginning to tire him out.

Finding his father exactly where he had left him hours before, Gaogui chuckled softly at the sight of Mo Yuan laid out on the floor, with the twins fast asleep across his chest.  Gently reaching down, he lifted one off him to have a cuddle of his own, which he rarely got, because his father had completely taken over the nursery  Taking the child to sit down on the softly cushioned seat his mother used to feed them, he suddenly became aware of a presence in the chamber he had not noticed when he entered.

Staring at two sets of blue eyes, he looked down at the twin maids Ye Hua had gifted to his brothers.  Bowed at his feet, the girls who looked to be about his own age, but seeing the way they were eyeing the child in his arms, he realized they did not know who he was having yet to be introduced to them.

"And who might you be?" he asked smiling down at them rather than giving his own name.

"We are Lixuan and Xiaoli, the babies maids." they both said in unison which instantly had him laughing, because the thought of his own brothers talking in unison was something that was more than likely.  

Looking at each other, the girls wondered who the handsome man might be and the sight of his beautiful face lit up in laughter had them both smiling back at him.  But soon the worry returned to their very pretty faces.  The babies were their responsibility and as the young man holding one of them had yet to be introduced to them, they wondered what to do or even how to ask who he might be to the children.
