I sat at the building. My mind was everywhere. My mind was going in all different kind of directions. I would think of Hazel. Then I would of Carson.

I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around quickly in hopes of seeing Carson. Instead, I'm faced with Hazel.

"I thought you'd be here." She exclaims. "Are you okay?"

"Fine." I mutter.

"You know... You can talk to me."

I turn back to the view and I could still feel Hazel's presence behind me.

"I don't want to talk right now." I say. "I'm fine."

"You're not fine." Hazel sarcastically laughs. "I know it."

"Hazel, it's nothing you can fix."

"Well maybe I can-"

"Haze, just leave it!" I yell standing up. "Can you see that I want to be alone?"

She stares at me with tears in her eyes. "Sorry, I just-I was worried."

"I'm sorry-"

"I keep trying to come closer to you, but, you just won't let me." She cries. "Won't you just let me in?"

"Carson I-"

"Carson?" She asks as she wipes away more tears.

"Fuck." I mutter.

"What's it with her?" Hazel asks. "I'm so confused. Y-you can't love her, it's impossible."

I stare at her as she runs her fingers through her hair.

"Do you love her?" Hazel whispers.

I don't say anything. I don't move. I don't breathe.

"Well?" She pleads. "Do something."

"Hazel, please just leave me alone." I whisper. "I can't do this right now."

She nods slowly as tears kept falling from her cheeks. Hazel, makes her way over to the ladder. And she left. I turn around and I walk toward the edge of the building. I stare down below as the cars drove pass. I take a seat and I lay down. I fall asleep underneath the stars and the moon.
