The sun was going down. Carson and I spent all day in bed. Not like that. Not like that at all. We just talked. She had told me about her crazy adventure and it sounded amazing. She also had said that the timeless are very nice people. Very soft hearted and gentle. But, then Carson said she wasn't anything like that. Which made me laugh.

Carson was tying her shoe laces. I was writing a note. Carson decided that she didn't. But, I did. I knew that Grayson would be the first to see it. So I wrote it like I was talking to him.

"You ready?" Carson asks as she ties her shoe.

"Yeah." I reply, finishing off the note.

We both left out my window. Her hand was in mine as we walk down the street. The stars shined down on us like it usually did. Slight wind caused the trees to sway, softly and quietly. Everything had felt calm and peaceful.

Carson led first up the ladder. And when we reach the top, she takes off her bag and drops it onto the ground.

"I want you to know before we jump." Carson starts. "That I am so happy that I met you. You were the biggest miracle to me, Ethan. I never knew you could love someone this much."

She wipes the hair out of her face.

"And I want you to know that if you didn't skate into me that day, I would have been dead by a long time ago."

I laugh and I shake my head. "I didn't skate into you on accident."

Carson wiped away her tears. "You didn't?"

"No, I skated into because you were hot."

She laughs and slaps me playfully. "You always know how to make a good time in a bad time."

I grab her hands. "I'm glad you're home." I whisper. "I love you."

"I love you too." Carson smiles.

I held her close. This was the last time I would hold her like this. On this building.

"Ethan!" I hear.

"Is that your brother?" Carson says with fear in her voice.

"We have to do this now." I say grabbing her hand.

"Ethan!" Grayson yells again.

I could tell he was coming closer. My heart was beating out of my chest. We both stood on the edge. Carson was afraid. She was looking straight down. Her breathing was quick as more tears fell from her cheeks.

"Carson." I tremble. "Carson, are you sure you want this."

"Yes."

"Do you love me?" I ask.

Carson nods as she cries. Yes."

I grab her and I kiss her softly.

"Ethan, no!" Grayson yelled running toward me.

Carson put her foot out and I put out mine. We both step off. Instead, I was ripped away. And she wasn't.

"No!" I scream trying to get out Grayson's grip.

He had his arms around me and I tried to get out. I tried as hard as I could. But, he wouldn't let go.

"What have you done!" I wept.

"Stop Ethan, please." Grayson cried. "You can't do this."

I soon gave up. There was nothing that I could do to fix this. Grayson held me as I sobbed. I wanted to jump. I wanted it all to end.
