Chapter 13 - Falling

Ethan and I arrived to the prom. We sat at our table as everyone danced. Ethan looked at me and looked at my glove.

"What's with that?" He asks.

I look where he was and I shrug. "I don't want people to stare."

Ethan shook it off.

Ethan's P.O.V

Carson was starring into space all night. She looked beautiful. But she looked sad. Carson was starring at the dance floor. Her eyes on Sage and his girlfriend. My eyes fell upon the girl I had loved only a few months ago. She was with him, dancing in the blue light. Her eyes locked into his.

But then my attention was brought back to Carson. She was still focused on Sage. I grab her hand and she looks at me.

"We came here to have a good night, right?"

"I'm having a good time." Carson replies with a weird tone.

"No you're not. You're starring at Sage from here, watching him have a good time."

She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "It was stupid coming here."

I grab her other hand and I take her glove off, revealing her time.

"What are you-"

"Lets show them." I say. "Who cares if they stare. Who cares if the people we love don't love us back. We can't sit here wasting our time, watching other people have fun."

"I don't know."

"I brought you here to have fun." I smile.

I stand up and I hold my hand out.

"So, would you like dance Carson Woodridge?"

She stares at my hand and you could tell she thought twice. But then she finally stands up. Showing off her body in that beautiful red dress. Carson takes my hand and I lead her to the floor. I grab her hands and I place them onto my shoulders. I then place my hands on her hips.

Her numbers were glowing in the room. We were given stares, which causes Carson to put her head in my shoulder. We swayed slowly to the music, her body so close to mine.

"A heart that is broken, is a heart that's been loved."

I held her tightly. And I could only feel her here, in the room. Everyone else had disappeared.

I have fallen for her.
