"I'm glad you all were able to make it out." I said in the mic.
I stood on the stage of the Fox Theater in Atlanta where at least a hundred and fifty of my fans were housed to watch the unveiling of a short film, which were actually videos for my new singles and a formal announcement of the release date for the album.
The crowd screamed in admiration as I continued.
"This is my seventh album and the most personal. I took my time this go round so I could give y'all the best body of work possible. Hope y'all enjoy it." I said laughing at a few of the girls in the front squealing and screaming my name.
"Without further ado, a snippet just for y'all, debuting music off of my new album released March 24th, entitled, Tremaine the Album."
I took my seat at the front between Kevin and my mama as the lights went out and the screen came on.
The video started displaying the mock reality show I'd come up with sort of like Flavor of Love where I dated a variety of different women looking for a special one to call my own after a very public breakup. Of course, it was loosely based on my life post divorce. Kreesha Turner, a beautiful upcoming actress, mimicked my true love interest, the one I'd foolishly let get away.
Once the gag ended and the fans realized it wasn't a real show but a fun way to promote new music, they went crazy. Every song they went crazy over which made me feel amazing.
Twenty minutes later, the mini drama ended and I stood to thunderous applause from the audience.
"Thank y'all, y'all made my day. Y'all did enjoy it, right?"
The room went crazy again as I blushed sincerely.
"And y'all getting it when it comes out?"
Again, the room went insane as I smiled.
"I love y'all so much." I replied.
"We love you too Trey!!" Someone yelled making me laugh.
"I'ma step outside and set up so y'all can give me hugs and take some pictures and shit with me if y'all down."
"Cool." I said signaling for security.
They escorted me to the hall and put a small background for pictures together before allowing fans to come in small groups of ten at a time.
When we were down to the last group, I noticed someone familiar out of the corner of my eye.
"Helen?"
She smiled and approached with a couple of her girlfriends trailing.
"Hi. How are you?" She greeted nervously.
I looked at her blankly before realizing I was in a public space still.
