As soon as we entered the penthouse at the Four Seasons, I started for the bathroom. Flipping on the light, I observed myself in the mirror. Other than a red scratch a few inches long across my cheek, I was unscathed.

Moments later, Trey walked in. His glaring eyes met mine in the mirror.

"You proud of yourself?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowed.

I scoffed and turned to face him.

"This is my fault?"

"Why didn't you just say you didn't want her to come?" He replied desperately, "I knew you were full of shit at the theater."

The rage that filled my being less than an hour ago was creeping back despite all the tactics it had taken to bring me back to this calm place.

"Tae, that was an important meeting," He added aggressively, "and you two in the bathroom fighting like fucking hood rats, over what?"

"You know what?" I said battling at this point to maintain my calm, "fuck you and that hoodrat. I'm done with this shit."

I could tell he was taken aback by my words. He bit his bottom lip and shook his head as I stormed away.

With my clutch in tow, I walked towards the door.

"Lashontae, if you leave tonight..."

"What happens?" I challenged turning back to face him.

He didn't respond as he watched my face cautiously.

"Thought so." I added walking on elevator and mashing the button for the lobby.

Trey

Ten minutes after Lashontae left, I heard the elevator ding.

My anxiousness went up when I saw it was Kevin and not her.

I didn't say anything; instead, I walked back over to the couch and left the door open.

"The fuck was that about?"
