"Lost your tin can, Hank?"
"Shut the fuck up, Gavin," Hank retorted, furrowing his thick grey brows. "I didn't lose it, he disappeared during the investigation."
"Oh? Do you miss your plastic toy?" Gavin sneered, a sly smirk spread across his face.
"No, now shut the fuck up you son of a bitch," Hank shot back. He stood up from his desk and shot another death glare at Gavin. "I have a stupid shitty meeting I have to go to, now don't waste my time shithead."
He ignored the complaints from Gavin once he started to walk away from him. Hank headed to Fowler's office, certain that this would be about Connor and his sudden disappearance.
"God damn it, Hank. I know you hate androids but did you have to lose it so goddamn soon? You're 3 weeks into this investigation and you lost the fucking tin can, are you serious?" Fowler greeted him with those words.
"A welcome to my office, would be nice," Hank grumbled.
"Great job on losing the android, Hank," Fowler ignored him and started. Hank rolled his eyes and looked away once the man began to scold him as usual.
"Not even that, but you've lost the one that we've collected the most information with," Fowler continued. "Now there's no way of getting it back now."
"What do you mean? Doesn't the god damn thing have a tracker or something?" Hank scoffed, lifting a brow.
"No, it's completely off the radar. Cyberlife can't locate it anymore. Not only that, but it seems that they have lost all communication to it," Fowler explained. "It's either dead or damaged. We don't know."
"What...?" Hank blinked.
"Cyberlife will send a new one in a few weeks if you're lucky," Fowler informed him. Ignoring his shocked reaction. "It's just a shame that you had to lose it so quickly."
"I just left him in the house alone for a few minutes. How could he possibly have disappeared so fucking quickly...?" Hank echoed. The man gripped at his coat as he tried to piece together what had happened to Connor. There were no footsteps outside the house except the investigation team's. Connor hadn't left the house.
Maybe someone took him? Was there someone else in the house?
Hank remembered that he had heard a few noises in the house. But he figured that was just Connor moving around things to search for some more blue blood to fucking lick or something. Everything went quiet afterwards, so Hank entered to investigate but in the end, Connor was gone.
Someone must've been in the house with him. Someone must've attacked him.
He was taken. Wasn't he...?
"I did not lose him," Hank hissed through gritted teeth. "He was taken,"
"Taken by whom?" Fowler questioned, crossing his arms. "There was no one in the house at the time except you, the android and the investigation team,"
"The investigation team and I left outside to discuss the information of the woman who called this in. I left Connor inside because since he's a fucking android he would be the only one to be able to really solve this case. I didn't think he would be taken," Hank responded with a mutter.
"You lost him, Hank. Stop giving out excuses," Fowler rolled his eyes and shook his head.
Hank scowled and pointed his finger at Fowler's face threateningly. "I'll tell you something, even if Connor isn't my favourite, that android can't get fucking lost like that so fucking easily, understand? Someone must've taken him," Hank growled. "Someone must've taken him and gotten rid of his tracker. Because not even goddamn Cyberlife can track him down."
