(Wanted to write some more!)
With a good, long stretch, Y/N decided to head out to the living room and check on Connor.
"I should give him a bit of company too," Y/N mumbled to herself. She had to start treating him like a human, so this would be good. With a nod, Y/N stood up from her chair and headed to the living room.
At seeing the back of Connor's head on the couch, Y/N tilted her head and approached him. She looked at him carefully, his eyes were closed. She didn't know whether he was awake or not, since she couldn't see his LED, but before she could turn to look-
"Y/N...is something wrong...?" Connor asked her. Y/N snapped her gaze to his face again.
She smiled nervously, "No. I'm just checking on you. You doing okay?"
"Not quite..." He was right. He didn't even sound okay at this point. Connor's head was droopy and he kept his eyes closed. Why couldn't he let her fix him? It'll save him a lot of trouble.
"Are you sure you don't want me to-?" Y/N started but stopped herself once Connor gave the firmest shake of his head he could form.
"No...I can fix the problem myself, I know I can..." Connor furrowed his brows and seemed to concentrate on finding out a solution.
A smile adorned Y/N's lips. Chuckling, she rolled her eyes and made her way next to him. "If you don't mind, I'm going to give you some company while you fix yourself," Y/N told him with a smile and then grabbed her book that she had placed on the coffee table earlier.
"You're...going to keep me company?" Connor echoed. He finally opened his eyes, slowly but at least he opened them. He turned to look at her.
"Yep," Y/N opened her book and then looked at Connor. "Just in case something happens to you, I'll be right here to fix you." She reassured him and gave him an affectionate smile.
Y/N would've expected Connor to argue back, say that he could fix himself. But he didn't, instead, he looked away and nodded. Connor looked relieved, which was a surprise to Y/N.
"Okay...thank you..." Connor slurred out. Those three words made Y/N smile goofily, he sounded so cute when he was tired and he sounded extra adorable when he said that.
Ahhh stop it! He's just overheating, he's malfunctioning.
Y/N turned to look at Connor with pursed lips. He had his eyes closed again, his head was droopy again, barely able to stay up this time. Honestly, Connor looked half-asleep.
Y/N smiled at seeing him so weary. It was kind of cute how he was struggling to stay awake.
"Ran out of charge or something?" Y/N teased as she shuffled closer to him.
"I'm not so certain," Connor slurred out and slowly opened his dark brown eyes. His eyes were not looking at her. "Maybe the temperature is too high...?"
Y/N placed a hand on his cheek and softly made her way up to his forehead. He was right, he was way warmer than before. It almost felt like he had a fever.
"Sleep for a while, I'm sure you'll feel better," Y/N told him, moving her eyes back to the book she had in her hands. "Sleeping always helps with fevers. Rest up."
