"I don't understand...the sensors were at 50% success rate. They should've at least tried to work no? Then again it's just 50%..."

Y/N tapped the tip of her pencil as she calculated all that. Part of her was confident that they should've worked, the other part was slowly starting to give up.

Connor only showed signs of him moving his hand away from mine in order to keep the sensors from overheating no? Then why did he act so weird?

Am I dumb? Have I been missing something obvious?

Y/N tapped the pencil onto her lips harder. She was getting agitated because of these dumb sensors but then again they were the only things that really made her motivated.

But they weren't working!
Or were they?

"Damn!" Y/N threw her pencil away and grumbled. She crossed her arms as she continued thinking about it. He must've been lying, the sensors should've worked by now.

Y/N let out a low, frustrated grumble and tightened her crossed arms. These sensors were ruining and helping her at the same time. They would help her get motivated to do something but would just ruin her mood once they didn't work! "What bullshit."

Connor must've been lying right? He must've been. But then again, he doesn't seem like the type to lie.

"Then again, I added special features for him to lie perfectly, of course, he'd lie," Y/N grumbled as she remembered and ran a hand down her face. "He's a genius at lying..."

Not only is he a genius at lying, he has one of the most advanced features ever...

Y/N's thoughts wandered about until they fell into the subject of Connor's smile. That little half-smile made her tingle. She didn't really know if it was a good tingle or a bad one.

Grumbling, Y/N took a deep breath before,

"God, why did I have to make him so perfect?" Y/N hissed under her breath and kicked the table. She kind of freaked out once the table rattled too much for her own liking, but that only irritated her further.

She kicked the table again, but this time she regretted it once the glass of water she had on it, tumbled over and shattered onto the floor. Y/N sat still, silent with surprise.

"Crap," Y/N mumbled, slapping a hand over her forehead.

She got off the chair and bent down over to check the glass cup, a few strands of hair fell onto her face as she did so.

Y/N was about to stand back up but she kept herself on the spot once she heard the sounds of footsteps. Sighing, she expected Connor to ask about 'what had happened'.

"Is everything okay?" Connor asked. His voice didn't really show that he was concerned about Y/N, just curious about what had happened.

Huffing a [h/c] strand of hair off her face, Y/N turned over to him and squinted her eyes. She analyzed him, scanning him from bottom to top.

"Yeah it's fine," Y/N grumbled out. Her suspicions about him lying to her still stuck around. She wasn't fully convinced. "Just broke a glass, that's all."

"Would you like me to help pick it up?" Connor asked, walking closer to her.

"Oh, would you really do that?" Y/N rolled her eyes and got up from the floor.

"Of course," Connor casually answered. He got closer to the shattered glass. "If we don't pick it up, you might hurt yourself."

"Hm..." Y/N responded plainly and watched Connor. She saw his eyes scan the area quickly and then he turned to her.
