[Pretty long chapter! Around 5500 words! I hope you enjoy!]

This is not a good idea.

That was all Connor could really think as he watched Y/N bring those people closer to the house. His LED was still shining bright red and he anxious. So anxious that his stress levels were going up.

He didn't know who these people were. He didn't know what they could bring.

Connor tried not to let his paranoid software take over his thoughts and only watched as Y/N got closer and closer. He was desperate to bring her back into the house, keep her warm and away from whatever dangers these people could bring.

But as he saw the woman's face a bit closer, he recognized her. And he froze.

That woman...that woman was the fugitive, wasn't she? She was an android. The AX400 model that was reported to have stolen a child. The one Connor almost chased across the highway and he would've if the Lieutenant wouldn't have stopped him. He recognized her. Completely recognized her.

They're deviants, they're bringing trouble— Connor thought and narrowed his eyes. His software was on the brink of turning to violence to solve this problem. If it would save Y/N, then he would do it. With no hesitation, he would defend Y/N until the threat was gone.

Connor's thoughts stopped for a brief second as he heard the door opening. In a flash, Connor ran over to his room and spectated the androids and Y/N from a distance where he couldn't be seen.

Y/N was helping the AX400 model walk over to the sofa and the taller android followed behind with the child. Connor narrowed his eyes and glares at the deviants but then stops once he sees Y/N catch his gaze.

Y/N narrowed her own eyes and shook her head, probably telling him "Don't do anything" before turning to help the deviants.

Connor listened closely to what Y/N was saying. She was instructing the taller android to set the child down onto the sofa and told him that the child would be able to use the blanket beside it. Neither of the deviants spoke or replied, they were all just listening to Y/N.

"Please take a seat and rest, I'm going to get the tools I need to help you, I'll be right back," Y/N said. Still no reply from the androids, but judging by the fact that her footsteps grew closer to him, he figured they had agreed with her in silence.

Y/N enters Connor's sight quickly and she looks at him briefly. Before narrowing her eyes and getting focused on collecting the things she needed. She went through piles of cabinets, bringing out several tools that Connor was familiar with. As she was occupied with that, Connor slowly closed the door and then faced her head-on with a firm gaze.

"You promised you'll hide," Connor said, trying to keep his tone as firm as possible. In reality, he was mad. But he didn't want to express it.

"They aren't a hazard, they're not dangerous to me or to you," Y/N told him without looking at him. He hands scavenged through cabinets, looking for more tools.

"But you promised—" Connor almost hissed out.

"I know!" Y/N exclaimed with a sharp whisper. She turned to look at him with shameful eyes. "And I'm sorry...but these people—"
