"So, you're just going to leave me here? Poor me, all alone?" Y/N told him that with a joking tone, she had a smile on her face, but it wasn't a happy one. It was a sad one.

He turned around and offered her a tight smile. "I'm sure you'll be fine, Y/N. I gave you everything you need to know."

"Ah well, not a lot of people like me here you know? Maybe you could give me the knowledge of how to be likeable,"  Y/N sighed and her reply from him was a deep chuckle.

He shook his head and fixed his glasses. His smile was still evident on his face. "There's nothing else you need to know. Whatever will be, will be. You're one of the smartest persons I know and I have no doubt that you will be able to finish this project."

"I'm having doubts myself though..." Y/N shared with a murmur and looked away. "What if it goes wrong?"

Another chuckle came from him and brought Y/N's attention back. She looked straight at his blue eyes, he had his arms crossed now, but still had his tight smile on his face. "Everything will go according to plan. Believe me. You'll create something incredible."

"It's just a machine," Y/N sighed and rolled her eyes. "Just a machine that I have to make-"

"Not just a machine," He cut her off. Y/N looked at him closely.

"Remember how interested you were in these things? You must be exuberant about this, shouldn't you?" He tilted his head and raised a brow. "Don't tell me you want to back out."

"Of course not! It's just, I don't know why you trust me with such a big project. This might affect millions," Y/N told him with a strained tone. She truly was stressing it about this. While the idea of working on something she's always loved made her excited, the project and the idea behind it made her stomach turn. How did he expect to take such a huge responsibility?

He nodded. Solemnly, like he usually does. "Yes I know it will. But, that's exactly why I chose you."

"I'm the worst person you could choose for this," Y/N laughed nervously.

"That's not true," He shook his head and Y/N fell silent. His blue eyes were filled with an emotion Y/N couldn't quite read. "You're perfect for this job and for this project. Don't let anyone tell you either wise-"

He leaned in closer and smiled mischievously, "Not even CyberLife."

"But you are CyberLife," Y/N snorted and smiled with amusement.

"Was," He said with the same amused smile that Y/N had on her face. He pulled back and let out a small breath, "Well I've got to go. I don't want to hang around here much longer."

He turned around to walk away, toward his lavish car, but Y/N stopped him by grabbing his sleeve.

She swallowed, "How...exactly can this project make a difference? It's just another android-"

"It's not only for the world, but for you," He said, not turning around to face her. "I  figured that something like this would challenge you. But best yet,"

He finally turned and flashed her a smile. "Make you happy."

"Pffft, how so-" Y/N was about to ask but he just sighed and turned around to look at her.

He placed a hand on her shoulder and looked at her solemnly. "You're on your own now. Don't let me down."

"If you do need help though, here's my personal number," He told her and Y/N watched him bring out a paper from the pocket of his coat. He also grabbed a pen from his bag and scribbled something down onto the paper. After less than five seconds, he stopped writing and handed the paper to Y/N.
