"Are you feeling alright, Y/N?"

Connor cautiously watched the young woman. Y/N had her arms crossed and she was looking straight ahead. She hadn't spoken this whole time. Not a word.

"I'm just angry that we couldn't save that android," Y/N mumbled lowly.

Connor looked around, making sure no one was hearing them. They were on a train after all, there were people on here.

"It was too late," Connor repeated, for the fifth time. He would repeat it for the sixth and seventh, even for the eighth. He'll repeat it until she gets it, until she accepts it and feels better about it.

Connor felt a few stares on his back. He wasn't sure if it were the passengers on the train or the androids from the android compartment. But at the feeling of people staring at him, Connor blinked a few times and added in, "It's just a machine."

Connor wanted to add in, I'm a machine, we're all machines. He didn't though. He knew that'll turn out to be suspicious from him and the passengers on the bus will look at him weirdly.

"It's wasn't just a machine-" Y/N started but Connor shut her up by holding her hand tightly. Y/N turned quiet, her eyes drifted down to Connor tightly grasping her hand and then they moved up to Connor again. It was obvious she was perplexed to why he was doing that.

"Let it go, it's just a machine. The authorities will get rid of it," Connor told her with a strained tone. If she gets agitated and more upset now, she'll blow her cover and his. "Besides..."

Connor looked to the side, where he saw a few men looking at them. One was peering over their digital book and the other one had headphones on but his eyes were glued on Connor and Y/N.

"Besides...we needed to destroy it, remember? It was ruining our house and too dangerous to keep around...the house and-the kids..." Connor added that in hesitantly. He didn't know what to say, the quickest scenario that came to his head was that Y/N and him were in some sort of a romantic relationship. That would be normal right? That would make them seem like a regular human couple in a romantic relationship right?

Anything to make them look away, Connor looked at the men again. He immediately brought his gaze back to Y/N once he caught eye-contact.

"The...kids...?" Y/N whispered, her voice carried shock in it. Her [e/c] eyes were widened in pure shock and Connor could see the color flush to her cheeks.

"Ah-um-right," Y/N finally caught up. Her blush hadn't disappeared though, she had just realised what he was up to. "Yeah it was dangerous."

Connor bit the inside of his cheek and nodded, he briefly looked at the men looking at him and her. He almost let out a breath of relief to see them briefly glance at him and then turn their heads away. The neutral expression in their faces returned and they seemed to not be interested anymore.

Letting go of her hand, Connor took a mini breath in and looked back at the android compartment. None of the androids were directly looking at him or Y/N. With relief, Connor ran a hand through his now lighter brown hair.

The train stopped and both Y/N and Connor hopped out. Still cautious, Connor looked back to check if the men were following the two of them. At seeing nothing, he nodded just slightly.

It was silent, until Y/N and Connor got to the road. They were both walking, until Y/N suddenly stopped.

"Something wrong?" Connor asked her. Y/N looked at him, her lips were shut tight. She had her [e/c] eyes on him and only on his face.

"Y/N-" Connor began to ask her again.

"The kids, huh?" Y/N tilted her head. By hearing her tone, she sounded unimpressed. Connor was about to explain himself, but he stopped himself once he saw a smile decorate Y/N's lips. "Nice. How many kids do we have exactly?"
