"Alright so, the sensors aren't fully developed yet. Besides, they don't have much of a success rate so don't be upset if you don't feel anything yet,"

"I won't be upset," Connor reassured her. Well, it sounded more like he was reminding her that he didn't really care.

"Great," Y/N smiled. "Then we can get started!"

Y/N beckoned Connor to sit on a chair that she had placed in front of her computer. Connor reluctantly took a seat and Y/N couldn't help but giggle at how awkward he looked sitting down. He was so formal and tense, so much that it just made him look goofy in the end.

Clearing her throat, Y/N walked over to where she held the sensors that she had been working on. Looking at them, they didn't look like anything important, just small transparent circles that had a smaller white circle in the middle. They had wires since Y/N wanted to test them out first and connect them to a reliable power source before making them completely wireless.

The sensors would completely blend into the skin, rendering them invisible unless deactivated and taken out.

Y/N didn't really care how they looked, for now, she just cared that they would work.

"Here they are," Y/N grabbed the two sensors and held them in her hands. The excitement started to bubble up in her.

"I'm so excited~" She squealed quietly to herself. Calming herself, Y/N took a deep breath and turned around to face Connor. "So, we'll start on your hand and test for sensation. Okay?"

"Alright," Connor responded nonchalantly, not even close to being as excited as Y/N. Never mind, he said he couldn't feel excited anyway.

Y/N nodded and breathed in through her nose. Once exhaling, she got closer to Connor and swiftly grabbed his hand. He didn't object or snatch his hand away from her, he just observed her.

Y/N turned Connor's hand, exposing his palm. She placed the first sensor on the middle of his palm and the other one on the top of his hand. Assuring herself that they were planted in properly, she nodded silently and then hastily swiveled around to walk to her laptop.

Quickly fidgeting with the program that would allow her to activate the sensors. She checked the code and everything that was necessary for startup and then began the activation process.

"Okay! It should be activated now," Y/N exclaimed excitedly and turned around to look at Connor.

Connor stretched his hand and analyzed it closely. He seemed unnerved at having the sensors on him. They hadn't blended into his skin yet, so he could still see the white circles that they had in the middle of them. "Until now, nothing has changed—"

Connor stopped himself as the sensors lit up a soft light blue and slowly blended into his smooth fair skin. They had completely disappeared now, the only thing that held evidence that they were even there was the wire that remained.

Y/N's lips curled upwards into an excited grin. This was exactly what she planned for them to do. She quickly walked over to Connor and grabbed his hand. Her eyes moved up to meet his. "I'll test if you feel anything. Tell me if there are any results, alright?"

Connor stayed silent for a second, his dark eyes stayed on Y/N, but then briefly moved downwards to glance at his hand. His response to Y/N was a nod.

Y/N, without hesitation, pinched the top of his hand harshly, in order to get a reaction out of him. But to her dismay, he didn't even blink at her action. Y/N looked at him. "Nothing?"

"No," Connor shook his head.

"Let me try something else," Y/N muttered. She knew that the sensors weren't at their final level yet, they weren't even halfway done, but by now she had hoped that they would imitate some sort of sensation to Connor.
