[This chapter is shorter than the last few! Phew. As always, please don't mind the typos as I've written this on my phone haha. Anyways, hope you enjoy! ;) ]

The train that they should take arrived right when those words had left Connor's lips.

And once the doors opened, those lips which had said that, were now locked with Y/N's.

It took a second, a second to let Y/N's mind turn into shambles. A second to let Y/N's breathing go out of control. A second to let her heart pound painfully against her chest.

Connor was kissing her.

Y/N couldn't quite...focus...on what was happening right now.

She was able to focus most of her life and make quick decisions. Which is also why she was chosen by Kamski in the first place. But this—she couldn't focus.

She knew she was being kissed, she knew her lips were being tenderly touched by Connor's own. But she couldn't focus. The thrill of finally, finally, getting what she wanted was enough to take over her mind. She couldn't focus on the surroundings around her. Or when she had to take the other train. Or when someone could eventually walk in.

The only thing her mind truly kept itself busy with, was the sensation of Connor's lips on hers.

The tender touch of his lips almost made Y/N collapse. Her knees were on their way to bucking over, her heart was pulsing like crazy. She just couldn't think—

Y/N's arms wrapped themselves around Connor's neck, in the meantime also pulling him down, strengthening the kiss. Her fingers dug into his back, not wanting to let go.

Y/N had to pull back. Not here, not now. Why was this happening now? What was she doing?

Did he even mean what just came out of his mouth?

Was she dreaming? This couldn't be happening—

Her arms didn't move from Connor's neck, her hands didn't stop gripping at him for dear life. She couldn't stop—

No! No...not here—I can't—

The war was broken once Y/N pulled back forcibly, leaving Connor looking at her with surprised eyes. Y/N hadn't even realized she'd been standing on her tiptoes and slowly went back down once Connor pulled back from her.

"I'm sorry—" Connor panted out that apology. His hands softly left Y/N's face, "I didn't expect this to happen here. I would've planned it better but—"

"We need to board the train..." Y/N plainly said. The shock of what had just happened was settling in, her breath was all over the place and her head reeled.

This could not be happening...
She didn't know what to do...
Why couldn't she say anything?

Connor's touch left her overwhelmed body. He stood in front of her, looking at her with an expression that Y/N could only read as desperation.

You don't mean that...right? Y/N was trying to ask him but she was so shocked her mouth could not open. Her body refused to accept this was happening. Please...if this is a joke...

"Right..."

When Connor said that, his eyes looked down at the ground. Before they looked away though, they clearly expressed to Y/N the pain behind them.

Even if the train was behind them, and Y/N had said herself that they needed to board it. Her body could not move.

It was frozen still and Y/N did not know what to do.
