"Now it's just getting frustrating."

"Frustrating?" Connor asked Y/N, tilting his head and pulling back from her neck. He was confused as to why she found it frustrating, she enjoyed it a couple of seconds ago, why was she getting frustrated? Did she not like it when he kissed her on the neck? He was using the technique she's always liked—

"Because if you continue, I won't ever get this eyepiece done," Y/N told him with a teasing smile.

"Does it have to get done?" Connor asked with a low tone. He could see Y/N's pupils dilate and the pulse in the wrist of hers that he was holding quickened. He knew he was getting to her.

"Yes, it does," Y/N played with him and then snatched the wrist he was holding away from him.

Connor's LED flashed yellow, a small peek of a frown started to form on his face. He almost shot Y/N a confused and frustrated gaze.

A smile was on her face as she turned away from him and placed her eyes back on the eyepiece. "You could read the code again and make sure nothing's wrong with it."

Connor held back his temptation to sigh and then looked at the eyepiece's code. He loved the fact that she was creating something new and something that truly interested her, but he didn't like it when it completely snatched her attention from him. Was this what "wanting attention" feels like? Especially from Y/N? He hoped he wasn't being too clingy—

"So?" Y/N asked him, bringing him out of his thoughts.

Connor had been so concentrated in his own thoughts that he hadn't read the code at all. With an embarrassed expression, he skimmed through the code as quickly as he could. In the whole thing, he found at least 10 errors that could be easily fixed. It seemed as if the "frustration" Connor was giving Y/N was affecting her coding because unlike before, she couldn't focus.

"There are ten mistakes in that one section," Connor told her neutrally. He pointed at the errors and watched as Y/N pouted.

"Ten? So many? In one section?" Y/N turned to face Connor and narrowed her eyes. "You're kidding me, right?"

"No," Connor reassured her, a bit hesitantly. He didn't know if telling the truth would make her more frustrated or relieved.

With a sigh, Y/N placed her hands on her face and grumbled. From what Connor could hear, it was mostly a mix of "what's going on with me" and "why am I so stupid".

Connor then placed his head against hers and slowly removed her hands from her face. She looked annoyed, not surprising.

"You'll be able to fix them easily, Y/N. Don't stress about it," Connor reassured her, his lips right beside her ear as he said that. Y/N seemed to relax as he said that, he could tell since the tension in her muscles softened. It seemed to slowly fade away.

Connor pulled away from her, giving her some space so he could show her what to do for the code. "I can tell you how to fix them if you like."

"I'll fix them later, I can't be bothered," Y/N rolled her eyes and slowly pulled Connor back closer to her. Almost immediately, Connor smiled a bit excitedly as he got pulled back closer to Y/N. Looks like he's won over the eyepiece this time.

"So, what are you going to do if you aren't going to occupy yourself with the eyepiece?" Connor asked her, his arms slowly wrapped around Y/N.

She let out a content hum, which made Connor smile. Y/N turned to look at him, a relaxed smile on her face, "A bit of cuddling wouldn't do me bad."

"It would distract you from your invention though," Connor told her softly. "Surely?"

"Well I don't want to work on it right now," Y/N rolled her eyes. "Besides, there's one huge distraction, and that's you."
