(Gahh sorry for the kinda late update. Also, sorry in advance for any mistakes in this chapter! I wrote this on my phone so some mistakes may appear here and there)
It had been at least sixteen hours since Connor had spoke to Y/N last.
With a bright yellow LED, Connor looked at the door of his "room". He had expected Y/N to walk in, say something witty, maybe smile at him or let out a chuckle. But that wasn't the case.
He hadn't seen her at all.
Why am I even surprised? What I did should've made her lose any interest in me. Maybe tomorrow I'll wake up with a glass enclosure around me, Connor tensed up at the thought of that. He truly didn't want that again.
"I really enjoy your company and...I'm just so glad you're here..." she said to him yesterday.
The sincerity and the affection in her eyes told Connor that she was telling the truth and nothing but the truth.
Connor felt something tighten in his chest as he remembered what she had said. He didn't even have the sensors and Connor could say that this sensation...hurt. It hurt.
He knew what pain was now, he knew when to say something "hurt". But this was different. He wasn't feeling anything physically.
It just hurt.
Maybe this was a mistake...maybe this really was a mistake- Connor started doubting himself again but wasn't able to finish once something came up.

"Did I really...?" Connor asked his software. The tight sensation in his chest got worse. A sigh escaped his lips and he looked down.
In silence, he remembered what he had done a day ago. He remembered exactly what he did and what happened.
It all started with Connor heading back to Y/N after discovering Kamski's number on the ripped piece of paper.
He knew he looked nervous but he tried his best to disguise his anxiety with a neutral expression.
Y/N had walked into the room. Connor had noticed that her hair was damp, due to the fact that she had just hopped out of the shower. She flashed him a relaxed smile. "What are you doing here? Did you feel lonely while I was showering?"
"No, I just came here to..." Connor had to come up with some sort of lie in order to be able to attempt to contact Kamski. Maybe Kamski's number would be available. Or maybe Connor could find a small flaw in Y/N's security system and contact the former CEO of CyberLife, maybe even the Lieutenant...he just knew he had to take this chance.
He had to say something that would fluster her, distract her enough for him to be able to attempt his plan. Connor came up with something, something he was at least 85% sure that Y/N would say yes to. Something that she would definitely be flustered to hear.
"I came to accompany you for the night."
Y/N's mouth opened in absolute shock. Her eyes widened a bit. "What? Are you serious?" Y/N stammered, her voice clearly flustered.
Good, just the reaction I wanted, Connor thought and was almost pleased with himself, but he set that aside. "Yes. I hope that's alright."
