"You coming?"
Connor turned to look at Y/N once she was out of the car. She was dressed with a thick jacket, dark trousers and a [f/c] shirt. It was cold outside and she was dressed appropriately. Y/N also had shades on, something that would certainly throw off her look and cause suspicion, but she pushed on with it.
Connor briefly glanced at the rear view mirror. He saw his reflection and hid a frown. He looked human. Besides the fact that his facial features were changed, now he had had auburn hair and hazel eyes, his LED was missing and already threw him off. This human disguise wasn't meant for him and it shouldn't become normal for him.
|| PLACE LED BACK ON ||
That order repeated itself again in his head. It seemed to be the only thing that could reassure and confirm he was an android. If he kept going without a LED, Connor knew he would start to believe he was anything but an android.
Damn it... Connor hissed in his head, stayed quiet on the outside and left the car. He walked up to Y/N, who had a soft smile on her face. Although Connor enjoyed that smile, he forcefully told himself to look away, which he did.
The two of them started walking and Connor continued to think about that order. It had started ever since this morning, where Y/N had removed his LED and placed it on his hand. She told him that he can put it on after they come back, but Connor's software was telling him something else.
When that happened and when Y/N had left the room, Connor started to fiddle with his LED as he continued to think about it.
|| TAKE THE LED ||
||PUT IT ON WHEN OUTSIDE||Connor's grip had tightened around the LED when that order had appeared. He was challenged on doing what his software said or Y/N.
|| RETURN BACK TO THE MISSION ||
Return back to the mission... Connor recalled and stepped into the the bus with Y/N. He had kept quiet this whole time and only focused once Y/N accidentally wrapped her hand around his.
"Sorry," Y/N smiled nervously at him and then moved her hand down the pole in order to evade Connor's hand.
"That's okay..." Connor said quietly, but then shut his mouth immediately. He should've just remained quiet.
For some reason, Connor's software came to the conclusion that if he just ignored Y/N, then the temptations would disappear.
He had tried that this morning and yesterday night, but to no avail.
He had to keep trying though, even if it was horribly difficult.
They both stepped out off the bus and continued walking. Even though Connor knew exactly where he was and how to get out of here, he didn't do anything. He was too distracted with the thoughts of him putting the LED back on.
Y/N and Connor both stepped into the outdoor shopping center once they crossed the pedestrian crossing. Connor felt himself tense up as he saw how many people there were.
And how many lack of androids there were too. There were almost no androids in sight.
Were they moving that fast? Were they really getting rid of androids that fast?
What if he's caught?
This LED idea isn't going to work...|| YOU HAVE TO DO IT ||
Connor let out an inaudible sigh. That order was right. He had to do it, or else, he'll just keep on convincing himself he's human and this will get worse.
