(Sorry for the late update! Had a small case of writer's block ahh)
"What are you going to do with him after...?" Y/N gulped as she looked at her superior.
"The information will be collected and he'll be destroyed. There would be no use for him after," her colleague explained, his eyes were emotionless as he explained that.
"Y-You can't just do that. I thought the whole point was for him to stay a machine and gather information that way," Y/N's eyes furrowed as she got just a bit angrier. "You ordered me to reprogram him even when he shows the slightest bit of deviancy, why the hell are you telling me this now?"
"Because it's how it's going to go. Kamski should've informed you of this when you were finished with your apprenticeship," he firmly told her. His eyes were narrowed. "Is there a problem with that?"
"Elija- Kamski didn't say anything about this!" Y/N hissed through gritted teeth. "This won't work, it will never work."
"Just you wait, it will," the man told her. His arms were crossed. "Keep the current status of the RK800, if he shows any sign of deviancy, you know what to do."
Y/N swallowed down the lump in her throat. She was so mad and upset, the lump in her throat hurt her. "Why do you have to destroy him...? Why can't you just use him after? There's no need to-"
"I hope you're not getting attached to the thing, L/N," the man grumbled. "The RK800 android will be discarded after the mission has been succeeded. If you decide against that, there will be consequences."
Y/N fell silent after that. She widened her eyes and looked at the man.
"I hope you stop arguing and decide to follow through. Kamski hired and took you in for a reason. Don't ruin it," the man said and started walking away and out of the virtual shooting range.
Y/N couldn't believe this, she really couldn't. All her hard work would've gone to shit because of this. CyberLife couldn't possibly be serious, right? This was a ridiculous plan.
This plan would end up in Connor being hurt.
"Fuck..." Y/N ran a hand through her head as she mumbled that out. How could she not have been told this? She believed that he would just go for the mission and come back. Live life as normal as an android truly can.
"No I should've known this was happening," Y/N grumbled out angrily. She was angry at herself for being so stupid. Did she really think this was all going to go according to her own plan?
Connor was CyberLife's now, not hers. How is she possibly going to change what's definitely about to happen?
Y/N looked Connor. Who was stepping out of the virtual shooting range. As always, he had an emotionless expression on his face and his eyes said nothing. Although he showed no sign of feeling emotions, Y/N couldn't stop herself from feeling scared for him. Her stomach did a flip as she thought about Connor's end.
"I'm going to have to do something..."
"Y/N?"
Y/N was brought out of her dazed trance by Connor. She looked up at him, with her eyes wide open. Did she just zone out and remember that? Probably.
"You haven't eaten anything. Is something wrong?" Connor asked her, his eyes scanning every inch of her.
You're here... Y/N mumbled in her mind. She then swallowed and shook her head slightly. Of course you're here, I brought you here. This isn't the past.
