(Sorry for late upload! I wrote a bit more to apologise lol)

"Hey, since you made such a big fuss about the deal yesterday, why don't you start asking your questions again?"

Connor didn't respond to what Y/N had said. He had predicted that she would bring up the subject of the deal again, but he couldn't tell if he was prepared for it. It was clear to Connor that if he brought the deal back, it'll be easier to separate the ridiculous thoughts from actual useful thoughts that would be able to get him out of here.

It's not working... Connor found himself thinking as he looked at Y/N. The thoughts never seemed to leave and as much as that worried Connor, the more he thought about it, the more he started convincing himself there was no way to get rid of them.

I have to, it's mandatory.

"Alright," Connor finally responded to Y/N's suggestion.

Y/N turned to look at him attentively, she had her arms crossed and leaned back onto the chair she was sitting on. They were both looking at each other, each of them in front of each other. The only thing that divided them was the dining table.

"How many years have you worked in CyberLife?" Connor asked her.

Y/N's eyes flashed with an emotion Connor couldn't read. Her brows furrowed just slightly and she turned her head to the side just a bit. "Jumping right into the CyberLife questions, aren't we?"

Connor shrugged and looked at her attentively, "I have to know."

"You didn't have to know before, why's it so urgent now?" Y/N asked him steadily.

Because if I don't distract myself with something else, then you're going to fill up my head with manic thoughts, Connor wanted to tell her all that, but remained quiet. He leaned back a little, "I just need to know."

"I worked in CyberLife for about 4 years," Y/N answered slowly. Judging by her tone, Connor could tell she was being cautious. "Not much, I know, but enough to know what goes on in it."

"Were you in any way connected to Elijah Kamski?" Connor asked her. He was heading straight in with these CyberLife questions. He knew that Y/N and him had created some sort of trust bond, meaning that there was more of a chance to deduce information from her when it came to these questions. If he had done this before, he would most likely not have been able to get far.

Y/N opened her mouth, but then closed it. She looked hesitant to answer Connor's question, but he knew she eventually would in the end. "Kamski..was my mentor. He set me up for an apprenticeship in CyberLife, then handed me the authority to take over a project."

"What was that project?" Connor continued.

Y/N laughed slightly and then pointed at Connor. Connor's LED flashed yellow as he was confused at first, but then he quickly came to a conclusion.

"Me," Connor answered his own question.
Y/N nodded. "You."

"Was I your only project?" Connor asked her immediately. His LED flashed yellow and would stay that way till she answered.

"Yes," Y/N nodded.
"You're sure?" Connor wanted her to confirm.

"Yes, Connor. You were the only project," Y/N told him with a slightly amused tone. "Don't get jelly."

"I'm not getting jelly," Connor reassured her and leaned back. His LED returned back to blue once he got that answer from Y/N. "Okay..."

"Did you know Markus was going to do what he did?" Connor asked her directly.
