"Thank you, everyone, for coming here tonight. Today is a very special day for everyone sitting in this room. Today has marked the ending of one huge chapter in life and the beginning of another, which will come with even more twists and turns. You all have worked very hard to be here today, and you should be very proud of yourselves. Now, I will call up our Valedictorian, Jeon Jungkook, to the stage to say a few words."

Thunderous applause broke out in the audience, but your cries would have been louder if you actually voiced them.

It was all real: Jungkook on the stage in his cap and gown; his bright Bambi eyes capturing yours.

He smiled lovingly at you before he began his speech.

"Like most of you sitting here, my high school experience was one hell of a roller coaster ride," he began, eliciting chuckles from the audience.

"But it was a ride that I'm glad I took. I got to meet so many special people along the way and learn so many things about life that I had never known before."

A soft smile made its way on your face.

"I remember when I was going through a hard time my sophomore year, and I'd go and punch a sandbag for two straight hours every day, hoping that it would relieve some of my troubles, but to my dismay, it didn't.

"My mother taught me to hold onto hope, no matter what. It'll make you stronger and allow you to see light at the end of the tunnel. Now, I'm finally in that light, along with all of my fellow graduates, and more amazing opportunities will greet us in the future when we go off to college. Class of 2016, we made it!"

Everyone cheered and threw their caps in the air.

But something was wrong.

You sat outside on the park bench, back slouched as your legs swang up and down, eyeing the lake that glittered under the sun's rays.

A warm hand on your shoulder brought you back to reality moments later.

"Baby, what's wrong?"

You didn't have the energy to respond; you were drained from stressing out about every thought that swarmed into your head.

"Y/N," Jungkook spoke deeply as he turned your chin towards him.

A tear left your round orbs as they met his chocolate ones before you felt his thumb wipe away the clear liquid.

A searing pain singed its way through your heart as more tears began to escape furiously.

"I-It h-hurts..." you choke.

"What hurts, Y/N?"

"Y-You...l-leaving...."

Jungkook pulled you in for a warm embrace, playing with your hair and kissing it softly.

For some reason, the reservoir of emotions inside you leaked whenever he was around, so you just gave into his warmth and dampened his graduation gown with your tears.

"Baby, I'll only be thirty minutes away."

Your eyes lit up in relief as you smiled back at him. "You're in the city?"

He nodded.

You slammed your body into him, causing him to let out a small "oof" due to the impact.

"I'll never leave you," he whispers in your hair.

Something light and hard touches your thigh, so you break the hug, and the next thing you see leaves you on the edge of your seat.

Sitting in a deep velvet box was a silver band that was decorated with the most beautiful diamonds placed elegantly in the centre.

"Y-You..."

"It's a promise ring. I know things are a bit hectic right now with me going off to university, but honestly, Y/N, I've dreamt about marrying you ever since we started dating. I love how fun and charismatic you are. I love how you make me smile everyday. I love how your eyes light up over the littlest things. I love how you open up to me about sensitive topics. I love how good you feel in my arms. I love how you make me feel complete.

"I love how you make me fight the urge to say 'I love you' every second, but I'm not going to fight it this time."

"I love you, Y/N."

Tears began to roll down your cheeks, but this time, they were of happiness and relief that you two could finally be together and no boundaries were present to separate you ever again. You nodded and allowed Jungkook to slide the cold metal band on your finger, the diamonds sparkling bright like your eyes as you smiled and pulled him in for a kiss.

You gently caressed Jungkook's lush lips with yours, moving at a slow and steady pace. The universe stopped time just for you to take in the feeling of his lips on yours, which sent pure excitement running through your veins.

He gently dragged your bottom lip with his teeth as he placed one hand on your hip and the other on your nape. Soon enough, your tongues found each other and danced to a slow rhythm like the fire in your body.

You pulled away with a "chu" and rested your forehead against his.

"I love you too, Jungkook."

A/N: Aaaaaand my first ever Jungkook fanfic is done; I'm sorry it took so long. I just wrote as I went, and I figured that now would be a good stopping point. 😂
