We tend to magnify our problems. When we face them, we amplify them in the way we think about them, look at them and feel about them. Our problems are seldom of the same magnitude as we portray them in our mind.
Because we magnify our problems, we become worrisome, distressed, annoyed, fearful, disturbed, tormented and irritated for a reason that is of our own making while in fact we should be handling them much more easily as they are not as humongous as they depict them to be.

Kita cenderung memperbesar masalah. Ketika kita menghadapinya, kita memperkuat keberadaannya dalam hal kita berpikir tentang mereka, melihatnya dan merasakannya. Padahal masalah kita jarang sama besarnya dengan yang kita gambarkan dalam pikiran kita.
Oleh karena masalah yang kita hadapi kita perbesar, kita sendiri menjadi khawatir, tertekan, kesal, takut, terganggu, tersiksa dan jengkel, dan semua itu kita alami karena alasan yang kita buat sendiri padahal sebenarnya kita dapat menanganinya jauh lebih mudah sebab dalam realitanya ia tidak sebesar seperti yang kita gambarkan tentangnya dalam pikiran kita.
