Maia's POV:

I sipped form my milkshake as Bella and Riley stared dumbfounded at me, her eyes wide from across the table. We had met up at a coffee shop near Notting Hill, and I had just told them that my brother had found out about my little affair with Alex. I cleared my throat, waiting for one of them to answer, but they were totally speechless.

"So" Riley finally said. "Your brother Marco, as in your hot brother Marco, has found out about Alex and you dating?"

"Well, it's not like we're official yet, you know" I defended myself. "We're just... going out"

"If by going out you mean that you can't keep away from each other for more than one day, then alright" Riley kept going. "Anyways, I don't think Marco will care whether you two are official or not, he'll just want to murder Alex and that's all"

"Fuck, girls, I'm screwed" I cried, resting my head on my hands. "How am I going to explain to him?"

"I don't know, but I wish you the best of luck with him" Riley brightly smiled.

"Belle, a little help here?" I pleaded.

"Oh, don't look at me" She complained. "I didn't even know you had a brother, to begin with"

"Actually, she's got three" Riley chimed in. "And they're hot"

"Oh, my God, really?" Bella asked enthusiastically, just as Riley nodded frantically at her. "Have you met any of them?"

"Unfortunately, not" Riley answered. "But I've seen some pictures worth the while" I opened my arms widely, furrowing my eyebrows in disgust. I couldn't believe they were talking about my brothers like that in front of me; they were my brothers, for fuck's sake.

"Oh, can I see a picture of them, Mai?" Bella requested.

"No!" I yelled. "You've got a boyfriend, for fuck's sake"

"I mean, yeah..." Bella trailed off. "But it'll just be a little peek, Miles won't mind" She joked.

"Yeah, come on, Mai!" Riley cheered. "Show us" I rolled my eyes at them, but finally gave up.

"I can't believe I'm doing this" I stated, getting my phone off my purse and showing them a photo in which my brothers and I were all smiling at the camera. Each one of us was riding a different horse, and it looked like we had been out for a hack along the estancia's fields. "Dad took this picture of us in my last visit to Areco, three years ago. That's Valentín, my oldest brother" I pointed at Val, feeling my heart aching whenever I looked at my brothers' smiling faces. We all looked so cheerful. "That one's Marco, my sidekick, and then you've got baby Romeo. God, Ro must have been around seventeen when we took this picture, and now he's got to be twenty. I can't believe I've been away from them for so long" I whispered, more to myself than to the girls, yearning my brothers' company.
