"Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor girl, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
A little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me

Mama, just killed a man
Put a wand against his head
Said the spell, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, oh oh
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters-"

"Miss Jackson! What in the name of Merlin are you doing?!" McGonagall asked.

"Singing the Bohemian Rhapsody?" Maya asked from her position on top of the study table.

Lily and Enna burst out laughing along with all the Muggleborns who knew about the song. Logan was still up in the girls dorm so that McGonagall wouldn't catch her in the wrong common room.

"This is unacceptable, five points from Gryffindor, now go back up to your dorm, it's nearly past curfew!" McGonagall said.

"Sorry!" Maya exclaimed as she jumped off the table.

"What was she singing?" Peter asked as he headed back to his dorm.

"I'll explain when you're older." Remus replied, before sending the three girls a wink.

They laughed and ran up to the Common Room where Logan was waiting.

"I heard you from all the way up here!" She informed Maya.

"I think the whole school heard you, A Jacks." Lily added.

"A dare is a dare!" Maya shrugged, "But anyway, what did you mean when you said you "changed" the song so that I would understand it better?"

"...nothing?" Enna replied, unconvincingly.

"Sure." Maya replied, "But one of these days I'm going to catch up to you and all your "muggle knowledge" and be the best muggle educated witch there is!"

"Keep dreaming, Apple Jacks."

Maya groaned and flopped backwards onto Lily's bed.

"So what now?" she asked.

"Well, we could talk about our secret crushes?" Lily suggested.

"...no. Okay, Logan, read my mind!" Maya demanded.

"I don't know-" Logan began.

"Please?"

"...waffles."

"Dang, do it again!"

"Still waffles."

"...one more time-"
