It was safe to say that Lily and James has become baby crazy...especially James. He was continuously asking Lily if she needed anything and reading through parenting books at a rapid speed. And that was before they found out the news.
James was crying at Logan and Remus' doorstep, Lily rubbing his back in soothing circles.
"What's wrong?!" Logan asked once she opened up the door.
James was crying too hard to get any words out. Logan called for Remus and he came to her side as they welcomed their friends into their home.
"No, nothing's wrong." Lily said, "I just went for an ultrasound today, and we just found out some news."
"The gender?!" Remus gasped.
"Yes." Lily nodded, "And a surprise."
"Surprise? Wha-"
"TWINS!" James managed to choke out through his sobbing.
Logan's eyes grew.
"Oh my Merlin! Oh my- that's amazing!" She exclaimed.
"A boy and a girl." Lily added, helping James to sit down.
"I guess we were both right then." Remus said, referring to his conversation with Logan about the baby's gender.
"Wow, I'm so happy for you guys!" Logan grinned.
"I'm going to be a FATHER of TWO!" James yelled, punching the air.
"Okay, calm done there, buster." Logan laughed.
"Sorry, Sorry, it's just- twins!" He emphasized.
A look of realization dawned upon his face and he turned to Lily with lightning speed.
"Do you think they'll look like us?!" He asked, "Like, the girl will look like you and the boy like me?!"
"I don't know, I'm pregnant, not a seer!" Lily replied.
"Twins." James repeated, "Twins, twins, twins, tw-"
"Okay, I think we've got the message, Prongs." Remus said, interrupting him.
"Okay!" James said.
"We should probably head back home, I don't want to bother you, we just wanted to let you hear the news in person." Lily said.
"No, stay for dinner." Logan said, "I cooked."
Lily and James exchanged glances.
"You sure?" James asked.
"Of course!" Remus said, nodding.
The four of them sat down at the kitchen table and began to eat the food Logan had prepared. Luckily, she had made plenty of food for the four of them.
