Dear Newt,
Thank you for all the gifts, I'm sure the baby will love them. I really do not think a baby hippogriff will be a good companion for her, though, so please, there really isn't any need to search for one.
As for your question about her name, we still haven't decided. James joked about naming her after a zombie or something because she is due towards the end of October and near Halloween. (Lily, Remus and I told him that it's not going to happen) Honestly, I don't know where he gets his baby name ideas from.
Peter is his usual self. He has stopped acting as jumpy as he was a couple months ago. Now he is a normal amount of jumpy for Peter. Oh, and he found the best cheesecake recipe the other day, I can attach it at the bottom of this letter!
Sirius hasn't been around much, so it's hard to tell what's going on with him. I really had hoped that after Harry and Ivy were born, he'd finally start showing up more often, but I guess I was mistaken. It's really alright though, I just hopes he sorts out whatever he's going through soon. Poor Maya has been a mess.
Speaking of Maya, I met up with her last weekend, and she admitted that she really likes Sirius- I know, has the world ended?! But honestly, she said I better not tell anyone, but that she feels differently towards him now. I just wish Sirius would pull his act together.
Anyways, I hope you are well! Tell Pickett that we miss him (even Dexter (cat magnet) misses kicking him) and give all the animals a hug from me!

Lots of Love,
Logan

Logan called Juniper to the window and the owl took off with the letter. After watching the bird disappear in the distance, Logan set about working on her baby's room. She and Remus could hardly wait for the arrival of their child, and had been preparing her room for months. She was around eight months pregnant at this time.

Lily and James has packed up all of their belongings and were prepared to move to their safe house as soon as possible. Apparently Dumbledore was finishing up some last minute enchantments for the protection spell.

Logan looked at the picture she hung above the crib and was contemplating whether it looked crooked or not when Remus came bursting through the front door to their apartment. Worried, Logan hurried out of the baby's room to see him looking heavily distraught.

"What is it, Remus?!" Logan asked, "Are the babies-?!"

"They're okay, for now." Remus said, "But Frank and Alice were just attacked!"

"What about Neville?!" Logan asked.

"He's okay, the Aurors reaches him in time, but... Logan, they were tortured for a really long time."

"But they'll be alright." Logan tried to reassure herself, "They're alright... right?"

"The healers are still working on them, but it isn't looking too good." Remus frowned.

"Oh." Logan said, voice very small.

She wasn't extremely close to the Longbottoms, but she had liked them anyways and even babysat for their son Neville a few times. Logan may have not been extremely close to Frank and Alice, but she had cared for them, and that didn't take away the pain in her heart.
