"James!" Logan called as she ran after the boy the next morning.
He ignored her and kept walking.
"James?"
No response. With a huff, Logan ran up to him and grabbed his arm, pulling him into an empty classroom.
"What do you want?" He snapped.
Logan looked taken aback for a second before quickly turning her face to stone.
"What's your problem?" She asked.
"My problem? Did you ever stop to think that maybe this isn't about me?!"
"I-"
"We were supposed to be friends, Logan. Best friends. And then you lied about being an orphan, do you know how twisted that is!! Rosier said you left because you were "in hiding" after you turned into- into... we were supposed to be friends."
"I am your friend, James." Logan insisted.
"Friends don't hide secrets from each other like that!"
"You didn't tell me Remus was a werewolf-"
"And we promised after that no more secrets. You had your chance to come clean. We're done playing your little games. Goodbye." James moved towards the door, but Logan stopped him.
"Wait!" She cried choking back tears.
The lights flickered, and he noticed.
"Why?!" He snapped, "So you can turn into a monster?"
His face fell as her eyes widened.
"No, Logan, I didn't mean- LOGAN!"
She ran out of the classroom and down the hallway. James' words echoed in her head.
"Monster." She whispered, looking down at her hands.
"Freak!" They yelled as she walked by, throwing rocks at her, "You're a freak Logan!"
She tried to take a deep breath.
"Freak!"
She closed her eyes.
"...monster."
Sobs racked her body as she fought for control. She collapsed onto the floor.
"Logan, Logan breathe." A voice said.
She shook her head.
"I-I-can't-b-breathe." Logan sobbed.
The darkness loomed around her. She looked up through her tears to see Enna.
"No!" Logan protested, shrinking back as Enna went to put a hand on her shoulder, "Stay away. I'll- I'll hurt you."
"I'm not afraid of you Logan." Enna said, even though she was quivering where she stood.
