"Logan, this isn't up for debate, you have to go to class." Lily said.
The boys had already given up on getting Logan out of bed so they enlisted the help of Lily and Maya. It was a few days after the funeral and Logan was still so depressed it was a struggle for her to leave bed. It didn't help that she had been up all night with nightmares either.
"No Lily." She mumbled into her pillow.
"We could always do it my way?" Maya offered.
"No." Lily said, "We are not doing it your way. Now Logan, please get up."
Logan didn't move.
"Suit yourself." Maya said, sitting on one of the other beds.
Logan was still sleeping in the Room of Requirement, still too traumatized to return to her Hufflepuff dorm room.
"Looooooooogan?"
No response.
Lily threw a pillow at her.
"Hey!" Logan protested.
"I'm sorry, but you're being ridiculous! You have to go to class in order to graduate and get a good job and make money to support your future family!" Lily said.
"I know, it's just..." Logan sat up, "How can I? How can I go to class when they won't be there. When she won't be there?"
"Logan, we're all still mourning." Maya said.
"She wanted to be a nurse." Logan mumbled.
"Come on." Maya said, walking over to her and offering her a hand, "Enna wouldn't want you to be alone and sad all day."
Logan took her hand and got out of her bed.
"Now, let's pick out your uniform." Lily said.
"Kay."
After getting dressed, Logan followed her two friends down to the Great Hall. When they opened the door, several people stared at them, or more specifically, Logan, who had frozen in the doorway.
"On second thought, let's just get food from the kitchens." Maya said, attempting to steer Logan away.
Logan gladly let her. If her presence in the Great Hall did anything besides start more rumors however, it alerted the other Marauders of her presence. Remus was the first to catch up to them.
"It's okay." Logan said, "And I am okay... or, I will be."
"Okay."
Maya tickled the pear and lead the way into the kitchens.
"Miss Logan!" A squeaky little voice cheered.
Logan looked up to see the house elf, Raina running over to her.
"Come, come!" Raina beckoned, pulling Logan along by her hand, "Raina has missed Miss Logan!"
"I've missed you too, Raina." Logan said.
"Let Raina look for Miss. Logan!" Raina said.
"No, no, Milly will do the cooking!" Milly insisted, coming up next to them, "Raina will do the chatting."
"Oh yes!" Raina agreed, "Raina loves the chatting."
Logan smiled softly. Raina then turned to her looking very serious.
"Raina has heard the terrible news." The house elf spoke, "Raina is very sorry, Miss Enna was a good friend to Raina. Raina will miss her very much."
"Me too, Raina, me too." Logan said, voice catching in her throat.
"Did Raina offend?" Raina asked, wide eyed, looking around for a pot to hit herself with.
"No!" Logan said quickly, "No, you didn't. And don't hurt yourself, Raina, that's awful."
"Awful? Raina does not wish to upset the kind Miss Logan."
"Just Logan is fine."
"Mi- Logan is too kind!" Raina said, "Can Raina tell Logan about Raina's week?"
"Of course." Logan said, causing the rest of her friends to sit down.
"So, there Raina was..."
After listening to Raina's stories and eating the breakfast Milly had prepared, the seven students got ready to head to class. Luckily, they all had their first class together.
Walking down the hallway wasn't so bad, most of the other students were already in class. The seven wouldn't be late, but they would certainly be cutting it close. Logan followed the others into the classroom. All eyes were on her. Then the whispers came.
"Look, there she is."
"Logan Moore."
"She looks awful. I wonder if she really did it?"
"Well of course she looks awful, Betty, she's a killer!"
"Probably joined You-Know-Who."
"Killer."
"Killer."
"Killer."
"Come on, Logan." Lily gently nudged her, attempting to guide her to a desk.
Logan's breathing was rapidly increasing at a rate that made it hard for her to get enough air in.
"Logan?" Remus asked, but it sounded as if he was far away, as if she were underwater and slowly drowning.
"Run, she's gonna kill again!" Someone screeched and the class lost it.
Several students scurried away from her as fast as they could while others ducked behind their desks. Someone tired to fire a spell at her and missed.
"Shut up and sit down!" Sirius yelled back at the panicking crowd, but to no avail.
They screamed louder and some began crying. Some students made a desk barricade between them and Logan, an impressive feat seeing how this all happened in under five minutes.
"Where's the bloody teacher?!" Maya demanded, stomping her foot.
Logan's knees gave out and she fell to the floor, hard. She couldn't see her friends faces, but she knew that if she could, she wouldn't like what she saw. She knew they were scared. Logan could feel their fear radiating off of them. They were scared that she was going to loose control. The other kids were scared she was going to kill them with a spell. She knew she wasn't going to kill them with a spell, but there was no saying whether she would kill them with her obscurus. That thought made everything seem even scarier.
"PROFESSOR!" Someone yelled.
Footsteps rushed into the room.
Everything was moving in slow motion. She felt her heart constricting in her chest and her vision was blurry, slowly growing darker. Someone touched her. She was back at the house that she had invaded with Fabian, Gideon and Enna. Enna looked at her. Smiled. Green light flashed.
"NO!!!" Logan screamed.
Tears were falling like rain. She sobbed into her hands.
