The Marauders were officially back together and were laying in the grass outside- not by their tree, due to the poor memories it brought up, but by the lake.
"How do you think you did on OWL's?" Peter asked.
James shrugged.
"I reckon Remus and Logan did alright though." He said.
"Yeah." Sirius agreed.
Peter frowned.
"What's wrong, Wormy?" Logan asked.
"I just wish I was smart, like you lot." He admitted.
"You are smart!" She replied.
"Not as smart as you guys." He said.
"You think I'm smart?" Sirius asked.
"You have come up with so many cool pranking ideas, not to mention how you and James figured out how to become Anamagi back in third year."
"You helped too, Pete." James said.
"I mostly supplied snacks." He shrugged.
"Snacks are important." Sirius said.
Logan rolled her eyes at him.
"You do well in your classes, Peter." She countered.
"Eh..."
"You'll be fine." Logan said, "In fact, you'll be better than "fine" because no matter what, you'll always have us by your side."
Peter nodddd his head, but his insides were still burning with jealousy. Before he could say anything else though, Sirius was talking again.
"You know, at least I won't have to eat Kreature's cooking anymore." Sirius said.
"Doesn't he cook really well?" James asked.
"Yeah, but it all tastes bad when he does it." He replied, "I think he stirs all of his hatred towards me into my soup or something."
"Just yours?" Peter asked.
"Well, Yeah. He loves Regulus, of course. That boy is such a kiss up."
"I think you should talk to him." Logan suggested.
Sirius looked at her like she was crazy.
"Um, no. I'll pass." He said.
"I'd hate to see your relationship go to waste just because of your "pride". He's your brother." She said.
"Not anymore, disowned, remember?" Sirius asked, "Besides, he's evil. I'm pretty sure he's a Death Eater. All Slytherins are these days."
"That's not true!" Logan protested.
"Birdie, do you remember Snape?" James asked.
"He was different."
"How? I know you want things to be all nicey nicey, but sometimes things just don't work out." Sirius said.
