It was a few weeks later when Logan was called in for her first mission. She, Remus, Sirius and Frank were to infiltrate a building rumored to be a meeting place for Death Eaters.
Before the mission, Remus came up to Logan.
"Can I talk to you for a moment?" He asked.
"Sure." She smiled.
He walked until they were out of earshot from Sirius and Frank.
"You don't have to do this." Remus said.
Logan tilted her head to the side.
"I know." She said, "That's what I told Peter. I made this decision-"
"Maybe you should rethink this." He interrupted.
Logan narrowed her eyes.
"Why?" She asked cautiously.
"Because this is dangerous." He tried to explain.
"I know, but I already said I'm willing to risk my life for this cause."
"What cause?! Dying at age seventeen?!" He asked.
"Remus!"
"Look, Dumbledore could have chosen any number of adults to join the Order, but instead he chose us- a group of school kids. Don't you find that a bit off?"
"He said he could trust us." Logan shot back, "Trust is hard to come by these days. And besides, we're practically adults anyways."
Remus avoided looking at her.
"Why are you talking to me about this anyways?" She asked.
He didn't reply.
"I'm just as much of a Marauder as you, James, Sirius or Peter!"
"Logan, you-"
"Is it because I'm a girl?" She interrupted.
"No!" Remus denied.
"Then why are you trying to talk me out of it and not Sirius?" Logan asked.
"Because I-" He cut himself off.
"You what?"
"... because I worry about you."
"Is it because I'm an obscurial?" Logan asked, voice softening, "Mooney, Newt said I've been doing really good, I haven't lost control in months, it may even leave soon."
"Really?" He asked.
"Really. Then I will be normal and you won't have to ever worry about me ever again!" She said excitedly.
"I'll always worry about you." Remus vowed, looking up and meeting her gaze.
They stayed like that for a second too long before Logan shook herself out of it and smiled.
