The four girls shopped for Lily's school supplies before heading to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. While rating their ice cream, Enna spotted the Marauders who Logan had owled to inform them of what day they would be shopping.
"Hey." Sirius greeted them with a smile.
"Hi!" Logan said, standing up to hug each boy.
"How was your summer, Birdie?" Peter asked.
"Good, how was yours?"
"It was awesome!" He exclaimed, "I got to spend most of it over at Prongs' house!"
"That's great!" Logan said before she turned to ask Remus if he'd tried any of the chocolate ice cream yet.
She missed the way Peter's eyes darkened.
"Ooh!" James cooed when he noticed Maya's ice cream, "You can pick two flavors?!"
"If you ask nicely, Mr. Florean always let's us get two for the price of one." Lily said.
James looked over at the red haired girl.
"Hey Lily." He grinned.
"Hi James."
Sirius nudged Logan.
"Five galleons they're together by the end of the year?" He whispered.
"Make it seven by Christmas and we've got a deal." She whispered back.
He nodded and they shook hands.
"What are you two whispering about?" Remus asked quietly.
Logan gestured towards Lily who was talking avidly about something and James who was watching Lily with stars in his eyes. Remus laughed.
"I missed you over the summer." He said to Logan before turning away quickly.
Confused by his actions, Logan didn't get a chance to reply, but she noticed that she too had been missing him over the duration of the summer. Him and the rest of the Marauders, of course.
The boys ordered their ice cream and then pulled more chairs over to the girl's table. Although the table was made for four, the eight teens made it work.
"This is our last year at Hogwarts." Enna realized out loud.
"Wow." Sirius said, "It seems like we started just yesterday."
"Funny how time flies." Maya noted.
Sirius, who noticed Maya's response was not an insult directed at him, smiled and nodded.
"So, what do we want to accomplish by the end of the year?" Remus asked.
"Hmm... I'd like to find my soulmate." Sirius said.
James laughed along with him.
"What about you, Prongs?" Sirius asked.
"I dunno," James said mysteriously, "I may have already found mine."
