Astrid POV

I wake up with my head still on Hiccup's shoulder. No one's up yet so no one has seen me or Hiccup out here. In the distance i can see the sun rise.

The orange, pink sky seems to shine as it rises. I get up without making Hiccup wake up. I can hear him snore a bit, would i would give to be his girlfriend.

I get up and with the blanket still wrapped around me walk towards the woods. I wander around a bit. I lean against a tree looking at the sun rise. When i feel a gentle hand on my shoulder. I look back and see Hiccup with a warm smile, i try and say something but nothing seems to come out. We stay in complete silence.

"I'm sorry for what happened yesterday" he says looking ashamed. "Its okay" i say trying to avoid eye contact. We hear a horn blow, "Everyone get up we got a big day ahead of us" i hear my dad say. Automatically i remember what its all about. "Follow me" i say taking his hand and guiding him back towards camp.

After eating my dad and Stoick start speaking. "Me and Stoick will be holding a little tournament, to see who's the strongest hopefully the Hoffersons win" says my dad, mumbling the last part.

"We'll be choosing our teams, making up tournaments as we go. Now Stoick will be choosing his first player then me then visa versa" says my dad.

"I don't think all of us can compete in this" says Valka pointing to Merida, her face on a near by rock while sleeping. "We'll just have to work with what we have" i say putting my hands on my hips.

"Thats my girl" i hear my dad say. "Now we going to get started or what?" says Snotlout beside Hiccup. "Snotlout your so impatient" say Hiccup. "Come on let us choose our teams" says Stoick.

"Well go on Stoick choose your first team mate" says my dad. "Okay then i choose Valka" says Stoick. Valka happily walks towards her husband and kisses his cheek as he blushes.

"I choose Eret" says my dad. Until only Merida and me are left. "I choose Astrid" says my dad. And Merida walks to Stoicks team.

On my Dad's team is Eret, Fishlegs, Ruffnut, Snotlout, Chase, and me. On Stoick's team is Hiccup, Heather, Merida and Valka, Tuffnut, and Sophia. "Okay first off we can't cheat, play fair and be a good sport. I'm talking to you Stoick" says my dad. I giggle, "And above all,....Win" he says sternly. "Now lets get out there and Win" says Stoick loudly.

We all are in straight separate lines. My father's team and Stoick's. Were infront of a lake, my father explaining we have to swim from here to the other side. The first team with all their players there wins this race.

"Okay you know the rules and all of you be careful they say some fish with teeth infest these waters now go" yells my dad. Valka and Snotlout are off first Valka going faster than Snotlout.

Valka reaches the other side first Snotlout reaching the other side a few minutes after. "Wish me luck" says Fishlegs as he dives into the water, Heather doing the same. Fishlegs reaches the other side first with Heather a bit behind.
