Chapter 36

Hiccup POV

I hold Astrid, my arms wrapped around her.

All those kicks, and punches those kids threw at me only made me stronger. Astrid stirs a little but then calms down.

I lay in bed, with her in my arms. not being able to sleep, until I finally do dreaming of Astrid and me together.

Astrid POV

I move around before I see sunlight peeking through the window, i know longer feel Hiccup's arms around me.

I sit up and look around, Hiccup is leaning against the balcony, wearing a big robe around him. he's staring out at the horizon. I climb out of bed and walk over to him.

I wrap my arms around his waist, "you okay?" I ask him before he jumps. "you scared me" he chuckles, "I'm okay" he says before he turns around and looks at me, he hugs me.

I hug back, "did the monsters go away?" He asks, I giggle. "yes, what about you?" I say as he smiles and presses his forehead against mine.

"Yup" he says as I place my hands on his chest, "I remember the first time I saw you" he says looking at me, "you were so beautiful" he whispers, "shut up, I wasn't" I say before he chuckles.

"You are you just can't see what I can" he says as I look at him, he takes off his tone and puts it around me.

"This is huge" I say as he giggles, "you look adorable" he says before he picks me up. "put me down" I say before he sits back on the bed with me in his arms.

He holds me, I stay in his arms warn and safe. Where no one can hurt me.

"Wanna go for a walk?" he asks as he pulls up the blankets around both of us.

"Sure why not" I say as he smiles and kisses my forehead. "Come on" he says as he picks me up, "put me down first" I say as he nuzzles his face into the crook of my neck.

"Okay" he says as he sets me down. "let's go change and then we'll go for that walk" he says as he looks through his luggage.

We walk around Las Vegas, admiring the view of everything. "it's so hot out here" I say as I fan myself with my hand.

"Why did I where a t-shirt" mutters Hiccup as he takes off his shirt, i just giggle.

"Oh no" he mutters, "what's wrong?" I ask looking at him. "the kids who use to bug me are right there" he says pointing to three guys who are flirting with girls near the docks.

"Then go show them who's boss" I say looking at him. "If you go over there, their gonna start flirting with you" he says a hint of jealousy in his voice.

"If they do I'll punch them in the face with a chair" I say as he chuckles. "okay I'll go" he says before I speak, "I'm gonna go buy a drink, you go enjoy your time" I say as he kisses me on the cheek as I walk away.
