Chapter 43

Astrid POV

"You okay honey?" Asks my mom as she enters the room, "sure" I answer back staring at the wall.

"You sure?" She says sitting beside me, "no" I say as she sighs, "your father is strong like you, he'll get through it" she says kissing my forehead.

"I wish Dagur would just stop" I say as she strokes my hair, "that won't happen till he kills you, and I won't let that happen" she says tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

"Sometimes life is just way too hard" she says looking at me, "it always has been" I say as I get up, "but I'm not gonna let him watch me break" I say wiping the tears away.

I stand up, "I have to do something to help dad" I say as she smiles. "you can do it, just don't do anything stupid" she says chuckling. "I won't promise" I say walking out of my room.

I walk down the streets, trying to clear my mind. Every person I walk past glares at me.

I remember when I was a little girl, the person who always protected me, the person who taught me almost everything I knew might be gone forever.

I hug my arms, "if only you were the one dead" I mumble. Seems like I only make people suffer.

"Astrid!" I hear someone yell, I turn around to find Hiccup running towards me.

"Astrid" he says breathlessly, "what's wrong?" He says looking at me sadly, "nothing" I say as he lifts my chin up with his finger to look at him.

"Tell me" he says soothingly, "I want all of this to end Hiccup, all of it" I say before he hugs me. I hug back.

"I'm finally getting the money" he says as I look at him, "really?" I say as he smiles and nods.

"My dad's gonna live" I say as I hug him, "thank you" I whisper.

Hiccup POV

"Thank yoi" she whispers softly, my heart breaks in two, after what I'm gonna do she's gonna end up hating me. I don't deserve her at all.

She pulls away and looks at me, "thank you" she says faint tears drip down her cheeks. "your welcome" I say as she smiles, it seems like I haven't seen that smile in ages.

"But when I get the money promise me you won't hate me" I say as she looks at me comfused, "why would I be mad at you?" She says touching my cheek gently, "just promise me" I say looking at her, "okay I promise" she says as I kiss her forehead.

"Let's go back home" I say as she smiles and lays her head on my shoulder. if only you knew that I was going to ruin my life forever just to help you.

~Next day~

Astrid POV

I wake up not feeling Hiccup's arms around me anymore, I look over to find Hiccup staring at the ceiling. "you okay?" I say sitting up, "ya just thinking" he says as I look at him.

He says something but his eyes say something else. "you sure?" I say as he sighs, "I have to go" he says getting up.

"See you later....." I trail off as he walks out without even a kiss goodbye or anything.

I hug my knead to my chest, "what happened?" I say as a tear rolls down. "no no more tears" I mutter wiping it away.

"Honey someone's here to see you" says my mom as I get up, I walk out of my room to find, Elsa, Jack, Anna, Kristoff, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, Snotlout, and fishlegs.

"What are you guys doing here?" I ask confused, "are we having a party?" I ask, "Astrid Hiccup's about to do something very stupid" says Elsa, "what do you mean?" I ask, "Hiccup's going to marry Julianna and spend a night with her just to get the money for you" she says as my heart shatters.

"How do you know that?" I ask hugging my arms, "Julianna came to my house telling me this" says Jack, "They'll be over at the Philton Suites Hotel" says Jack.

I lean against the wall, "is this where he's getting the money?" I ask, "he's practically selling himself" says Jack, "For you" he says as tears roll down.

"Then let's stop him before he does anything dumb" I say as they nod. let's go" I say as I wipe the tears away.
