the time between english and math couldn't have rolled around any slower. jenna was left in her own thoughts through the silent classrooms and god, was she ready to leave.
the bell rang signaling break for other students but this was jenna's final bell. that was the only loud noise that would ever seem appealing to her.
she packed the pale pink bag up and left along with the crowd. through the hallway, to the parking lot, she was so happy to not have had any disruption.
as she gained closer to her car, she noticed a body leaning up against it. jenna sighed drowsily.
he doesn't stop, does he?
"hey." the boy said. his hair was a bit messy from the last time she saw him and he cheeks were flushed with cotton candy pink.
"when will you get a hint?" she asked, unimpressed. she pushed past him, unlocking her car. tyler chuckled a little bit.
"i was just worried, you didn't show for gym and you didn't look too good." tyler said as his face fell. he was right though.
"i don't want to talk about it here." jenna grumbled. she looked away for a second to move her hair aside from her face.
tyler ran to the other side of the car, quickly opening the passenger seat door, and jumping in. jenna's eyes widened.
"then we can do it somewhere else. let's drive for a little." he said with a small smile on his face. jenna was taken aback by his actions.
"you're crazy. get out of my car." jenna shook her head, pointing in the direction of outside with her pink nail.
"come on, I'll get you breakfast." tyler offered. jenna pretended to think about it for a few moments.
"fine. but wherever i drive is wherever we're eating." she sassed, pulling the car out of her parking space.
the ride was quiet for the most part. tyler kindly asked for the aux cord which jenna handed over. he played a few random bands he enjoyed up until the car stopped.
jenna studied the boy at every red light. her eyes traveled from his brown locks to his wrist where a brown rubber band sat.
