jenna sat in front of the sturdy gym doors waiting for them to open. they were about to open in ten minutes or so.
the sound of quick footsteps came about behind jenna. a short girl ran past her up to the gym doors.
her head whipped around to meet jenna's blue eyes. the girls brown ones were full of worry.
"do you know when the doors open?" she asked, obviously worried. she played with her wavy dark brown hair in panic.
"in ten minutes, i think. why? are you okay?" jenna's eyebrows furrowed. she hopped off of the concrete steps and walked over to the shorter girl.
"he's being such a headass! he's not answering any of my text messages! pendejo!" the girl complained.
jenna tried calming her down but setting a hand on her shoulder. jenna sweetly instructed her to breathe, noticing how her breathing was picking up.
"hey, it's okay. just breathe. i'm sure he's okay." jenna smiled sympathetically.
"i'm jenna by the way." she smiled, tucking a piece of her blonde curl behind her ear.
"i'm memmie." she sniffled a little bit, wiping tears in her eyes before they could form.
"who are you here for?" jenna kept asking her questions to hopefully thaw the brunettes anxiety.
maybe getting to the root of anxiety could help jenna console her.
"i'm joshua's girl." she answered back simply. jenna giggled a little bit.
"josh is right there." jenna said. she pointed through the small glass window into the gym door. god did memmie feel stupid.
"oh my god. jenna, i'm so sorry." she laughed a little bit, still shaking because of her prior anxiety attack.
"don't worry about it. look, they're opening the doors." jenna pointed toward the gym.
the two walked in to find a spot on the bleachers before it got too crowded.
as they walked to their seats, memmie spotted her boy. she ran toward him quickly, jumping in his arms.
"hi." she said simply, her cheeks blushed. jenna didn't think she'd ever seen someone look at her like josh looked at his girlfriend.
"hey, babe." he smirked before kissing her quickly on the lips. he motioned that the game was soon to start. memmie nodded.
"kick some ass, josh!" she yelled loudly, quickly getting disgusted stares from parents of younger children.
the golden skinned girl would have flipped them off if she didn't have class.
jenna enjoyed her fire and she may have just made a new friend.
