jenna was irritated to say the least. she was glad that her best friend got to see the love of her life again but jenna was pissed.
she walked slowly behind memmie through the venue, they'd been let in the back so they could watch from the side stage.
"m, i'm sorry but i really don't want to be here. i don't feel good." she lied. her mind was so seeded deep into tyler she couldn't focus.
she hadn't seen the boy in years, it was just awkward when josh came around out of the blue.
"jenna, what's your problem?" memmie furrowed her eyebrows. she looked jenna in her periwinkle eyes.
"i'm just tired." she lied again. even jenna didn't know why this bugged her head so dearly.
"no. tell me what's wrong. i can tell when you lie, jenna. you run your hands through your hair like crazy." memmie scolded lightly.
jenna caught herself in the act of running a manicured hand through her blonde hair. "shit" she muttered.
"don't think i'm not happy for you, m. it's just hard that you ran into josh and i'm still stuck waiting for tyler. i literally can't fall for anyone that's not him. nobody gives me that feeling that tyler gave me. it's so hard to fall in love again." jenna pouted as her voice cracked a little. memmie rubbed her back.
"jen, i know. i know it's gonna be hard for you but-." and then the lights went out abruptly. that sent the crowd wild.
a strange almost warped sound came from the speakers, a song memmie had listened to while she was putting on her makeup before the show. ode to sleep.
with a drop of a beat, the front man flew out from wherever making the crowd go even crazier. "jump!" he yelled into his black microphone.
the two girls stared at each other in disbelief.
"tyler?!" they yelled in unison.
