jenna woke up somewhere around ten in the morning. that was far too late for her considering she was up around six every morning.
she slept like a baby though. the covers were warm but tyler's arms were even warmer. he stayed by her side all night. too bad she didn't notice him get up this morning.
from downstairs the smell of maple syrup and crisp air emitted all the way to jenna's room. she let a small smile take over her lips.
the walk down the stairs only made the sweetness smell stronger and the soft music come through her a little louder.
tyler stood in front of the kitchen counter slicing up strawberries while a golden brown pancake sat on the stove cooking. jenna was in awe.
tyler turned around at the sound of her footsteps with a smile on his tired face.
"good morning, jenna." he smiled. small rays of golden sun from outside danced on tylers face. he looked so soft.
his fluffy mocha hair was ruffled and messy, he has light purple bags under his eyes, and his lips were pink and gosh, did they look heavenly.
"what is this all for?" jenna giggled softly, her voice was still a little raspy from waking up.
"it's not waffle house but i hope it'll do." tyler shrugged with a sheepish smile on his lips. his eyes looked so warm and homey.
"this is perfect, tyler." she blushed.
the golden hearted boy quickly fixed her a plate. jenna thanked him.
she took her plate to the couch while tyler cleaned up the kitchen, as he had insisted. he sang an upbeat tune from the other room, making jenna melt.
not only was basketball star tyler joseph cooking for her, he was singing. jenna giggled.
"calm down, troy bolton." she laughed making tyler roll his eyes playfully before emitting laughs himself.
this.
this was one of the purest feelings. jenna knew she had someone to look out for her. even on his broken leg, he was there. that made her smile grow a little more.
