jenna sipped on her coffee. it was drowned in cream just how she liked it, pretty much the only way she would drink it.
her phone dinged in it's annoying ringtone, resulting in jenna sighing and setting her coffee to the side.
a text from kristen, her sister, lit up her phone.
sister kris: hey, jen! all the kids are situated, they're so pumped to see you!
jenna swore she could have screamed. she forgot. she was supposed to watch her nieces and nephews for the day while her sister and brother-in-law were out.
she threw her phone on the couch and ran to the bedroom, her blonde ponytail bobbing behind her.
"tyler!" she jumped on the bed and tried shaking him awake. he grumbled grumpily, halfway pushing jenna off of him.
"baby, what do you want?" his voice was low and agitated. jenna would have felt sorry if she wasn't in such a rush.
"we have to get to my sisters, we're watching the kids!" she jumped off the bed, and rushed to the bathroom to go get ready.
tyler couldn't help but smile. god, was this boy whipped on her. every time his eyes laid on her, he still got butterflies. he wanted this forever.
soon enough, the two were in the car heading into kristen and mark's. tyler drove, his left hand on the steering wheel and his right in jenna's hand.
jenna noticed when he would miss that his light just turned green because he'd been staring at her. tyler had been extra lovey-dovey lately, not that jenna minded.
the car came to a stop right in front of the suburban home.
"why have a rarely ever heard about kristen?" tyler furrowed his eyebrows but his voice was soft.
"she left my house a long time ago, i felt like i barely knew her. it was kinda hard to consider her my sister." jenna shrugged.
tyler wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her into him before smothering her with kisses across his forehead. "i love you. you're so strong, jen."
"love you more, joseph." she giggled though she remembered they had things to do today.
they couple walked the cobblestone steps up to the house and rang the bell. it didn't take long for a tall man to open the door. mark.
"hey, jenna! this must be tyler?" he questioned but smiled and waved none the less. jenna gave him a nod and a small hug.
mark led them into the house to the living room where the kids were seated around the television. there were two boys and two girls. tyler found it a little hard to believe that the girls were theirs but he went along with it.
a woman came around the corner of the wall. she resembled jenna quite a bit. she was a bit taller though. jenna was quick to envelop her into a hug.
kristen waved a small hello to tyler as well. they'd met a while ago at a show he invited her to.
"this is malachi, canaan, mercy, and zion. i just ordered a pizza so you won't have to deal with cooking, there's snacks in the kitchen. i'll see you all later." she rushed, kissing her children on the foreheads and heading out with her husband.
and suddenly jenna and tyler were alone with the kids. this was bound to be chaotic.
