jenna was so infatuated with tyler's show persona. his voice was unlike she had ever heard it, he was mighty flirtatious (to josh at least), and he was full of so much energy.
the crowd gave back every ounce. never did she think that star basketball player tyler joseph would be performing music for rooms of hundreds to thousands of people.
"how are we doing? are we still alive?" tyler speaks almost slurred into the microphone. there was no way anyone could really describe it. his voice was so smooth but slurred and it drove jenna nuts.
the crowed shouted back to tyler, they held up their hands in a motion that jenna had no idea what it was but she smiled nonetheless. a peace sign on one hand with the opposite hands index finger straight through the middle.
"this song is for an old friend. we met way back and i fell for her." the crowd went wild. "word on the street is that she's here tonight." he half said, a smile forming on his face. more cheering.
"if you're out here, i missed you. this one's called screen." he bowed his head before looking to jenna as she stood on the side of the stage.
it was impossible for her to have gotten more beautiful but she did it. tyler smiled as he watched her blue eyes grow with amazement. he didn't forget about her.
jenna watched with wide eyes as tyler threw his head back listening to the crowd. he shut his eyes and evaporated into the sound, mouthing the words himself.
"we're broken people."
that phrase alone left so many people in tears, so many damaged hearts, but even more hopeful eyes. memmie watched josh mouth the words as well, she could have melted at the sight.
the night ended with a song called trees, which again, blew the two girls away. they watched the boys exit the stage. a security guard was quick to lead them to the boys.
"great show tonight, j." memmie gushed. she would have hugged him if he weren't so sweaty. josh's hazel eyes crinkled with his smile
"i played extra hard. there was a cute girl watching from the side the whole show." josh flirted back. he definitely didn't loose his charm.
jenna just smiled as she watched the two interact. there was a small tap on the blondes shoulder.
"miss me?" a voice called.
tyler robert joseph. he was taller now and his hair was fluffier. his arm was now covered in tattoos as well as his exposed chest.
jenna's eyes widened only to sweeten at the man in front of her.
"more than anything." she smiled. she didn't mind the drops of sweat rolling down his body. she was quickly wrapped in his arms as he was in hers.
"i missed you so much, ty."
