sunday lazily rolled around. jenna's body was curled up into a ball as she was enveloped warmly in between her white sheets.
she left her blinds open the night before to let the moonlight in while she slept. something about it made the situation comfortable.
her parents still weren't home which wasn't surprising. jenna still thought optimistically hoping that they were getting their life's together.
the blonde opened her eyes and stretched her body out. she felt her muscles release their tension, god, was that blissful.
her view was hazy and the sun danced in small rays around her room. she looked to her bedside clock. 8:23 am. she still had plenty of time til tylers game later.
she tiredly graced her way out of bed and down the stairs. she was enveloped in a blue oversized sweatshirt of which was left in her closet from someone else in the house and she had the heater blasting to fight the freezing ohio air.
the bliss was cut off the second she heard the front doorknob jingle. both her mother and father came through the door, surprisingly sober.
"morning, jen." her father smiled. jenna gave a small hello before turning her back and rolling her eyes.
"thank you for cleaning the house." her mother commented. now this was just getting weird.
jenna felt her ponytail whip around when she turned her head. she took a deep breath before handling her parents.
"what do you want now?" she furrowed her eyebrows while a frown painted across her face. her mother and father only stared.
"jenna, i don't know what you're on about-." her father was quickly cut off after trying to defend his wife.
"no. it's obvious you need something. so no, i'm not running your little crack deal, no i'm not taking your blame, and i'm definitely not giving you money. now what do you need?" jenna said.
the way she spoke was so calm though her obvious anger and annoyance bled through her words. honestly it was scary, jenna was never one to snap like this.
"jenna elizabeth black! what in the world are you talking about?" her mother scolded back. jenna just responded with a laugh.
"i can wait to eat. i won't be back til tonight. don't bother calling me. and i promise if someone plans on digging through my room for anything, don't plan on finding anything. everything expensive is hidden cause i know how you crackheads are." jenna scoffed before pushing past both her mother and her father.
both parents tried calling for her but jenna didn't listen. she blasted some of the music tyler showed her while she showered. everything was blocked out.
she quickly dried her hair and threw on her face of makeup. the second she was finished getting dressed in her yellow t-shirt and black jean skirt, she was out of the door.
every penny, valuable item, and check was locked away not to be found. she checked her loose curls in the mirror one more time before rushing past her parents.
