the couple saw each other as frequently as possible. tyler was always over at jenna's house or they were out on a date tyler had planned. he was quite the romantic type.
tyler laid on the furniture-less carpet in the now fully packed up house. jenna's head rested on his chest.
"i don't know what i'm gonna do without you, ty." she mumbled, looking up to his velvet brown eyes. tyler sighed.
"this isn't goodbye. how about, see you later?" tyler asked, kissing the top of her head. he felt jenna nod.
"i'm only ever a phone call away. i'll fly to california to see you. you know i've never been?" tyler rambled on. jenna gave a soft giggle.
"california is so not like you." jenna smiled wrapping an arm around his tummy.
"am i not pretty and sun kissed enough for california?" tyler gave a dramatic gasp. jenna laughed along with his playful motions.
"you're mind is too beautiful." jenna marveled over the boy.
just as tyler were to open his mouth again, there was a knock on the door. jenna's aunt was ready to pick her up.
her and tyler picked themselves up from the floor while sharing a similar frown.
"so, uh. i'm really gonna miss you." tyler's eyes saddened.
"me too, ty. remember, see you later." the blonde bit her lip, holding back sobs.
"i love you, jenna." tyler shook his head before enveloping the girl in his arms. he leaned down to kiss her soft lips, she didn't hesitate to kiss back.
they pulled apart after a minute or so. jenna didn't want to leave her aunt waiting.
"i love you too, joseph. i'll call you when i land." she gave a sad smile as he walked her to the door.
"yeah, do that please. i love you, jenna." tyler sniffled, running his hands through his wild hair as she headed into the car.
"i love you more." she called back.
the brunette watched the car drive off. tears clouded his eyes while his brows furrowed in disbelief.
she was gone.
