jenna drove home slowly, most likely because of how her mind was going in and out of focus. it was dangerous to say the least.

the boy with the flushed cheeks and the crooked smile just wouldn't leave her mind. he left her feeling wanted, something she hadn't felt in a long time.

jenna sighed softly before turning the corner into her neighborhood. her sky blue eyes widened.

in front of her home stood at least ten policemen and a few parked police vehicles. an ambulance just left down the street toward the emergency room.

the blonde pried herself from her car, slamming the door behind her. worry was quick to take over her face.

"excuse me? what's happening?" jenna asked loudly and frantically. the police officer didn't budge to make eye contact with her.

"ma'am, please stand back." he said, obviously annoyed.

jenna's eyebrows furrowed in annoyance. who the hell did this dude think he was talking to?

"i live here! what the hell is going on?" she asked, only this time much more aggressive. she was taken mediocrely by the officer.

he couldn't help but crack a small smile at the angry little blonde girl standing in front of him angrily.

"i said i'm gonna need you to stand back." he repeated himself, only this time with a little more force. jenna didn't like that.

"my parents are in there! what the fuck is going on?!" her voice cracked through tears. jenna rarely dropped that foul word.

a policewoman with golden brown hair grabbed jenna by her arm lightly. her features softened at the blonde girl.

"your neighbors called in a noise complaint. we searched the house and your mother was clinging onto her life. she overdose. but trust me, honey. everything is gonna be alright." she led jenna over to the sidewalk.

jenna's blue eyes only got more clouded by red when she saw her fathers drugged up body yelling at an officer who held him in handcuffs.

she wasn't believing everything was going to be alright.
