fascination quickly made a home on jenna's features. she was excited beyond words.

tyler on the other hand, he couldn't manage her beauty. the way her hair flowed made her look majestic, even the fly away hairs and somehow the lines in her face all came in perfect order.

"dude!" josh exclaimed with a huge smile. in front of him stood a stupidly rigged hammer game. if the ticker made it to the top and rung a bell, he'd be a winner.

"twenty bucks, i can make it higher than you can." tyler smiled, competition squinted in his eyes.

"ty, you're built like a cinnamon stick." memmie laughed. jenna nearly choked on the fluffy pink cotton candy going down her throat.

josh shrugged. "bring it on."

him and tyler made their way over to the booth. the two girls just laughed. jenna knew how competitive tyler could get. that meant they were gonna be here for a while.

josh went first. he wound up the mallet between his colorful arms before pounding down on the sensor below him. it nearly hit the top.

"goddamnit!" his face soured. memmie cracked up in knee-slapping laughter.

"it's okay, baby. you can get em' next time." she cooed playfully, pinching her boyfriends cheeks irritably.

"you're so lucky your cute." he stuck his tongue out in a bittersweet manner.

the two were too busy playfully bothering each other to notice a bell ring and shining lights dance on their faces.

"go, tyler!" jenna cheered enthusiastically before swinging her arms around tyler. his cheeks heated up at the sight of the ecstatic blonde.

josh's jaw was on the ground while he watched tyler pick out a big stuffed pink puppy and hand it to jenna.

"get me a funnel cake and we're even." memmie said sweetly. she was an easy girl to please but she knew all josh wanted was to give her the world. "you're good enough for me." she smiled.

by around eight o'clock, all the families with children were gone which meant shorter lines and less annoyance.

"can we please get on the ferris wheel?" jenna have tyler wide blue puppy dog eyes and a pout. he sighed in defeat.

"we're gonna sit this one out, i swear m is gonna puke if we get on one more ride." josh laughed, taking his girls hand and heading the opposite direction.

jenna and tyler stood in the short line, waiting to get seated.

"you know, jen," tyler smiled at the girl. "you really are the reason i wake up every morning. you're the reason i'm not afraid to live. every day i remember how fucking blessed i am to have you. i'm so i love with you, jenna black."

jenna was astonished. after all these years, tyler still treated her the same way as when they first met. he still gave her those cupcake phase butterflies.

"tyler, i-." she choked up on her words. "i love you. i love you so much." she kissed him softly on the cheek.

they were seated onto the ride and got going fairly quickly.

now it was just them.

the bright lights from the ground of the fair looked small enough to be stars. as they strayed further from the ground, the sounds of voices and music faded. they were their own little solar system, revolving around each other.

tyler leaned forward, running his thumb over jenna's smooth lower lip. "can i?"

jenna answered by leaning in herself, closing the oh-so small distance between them.

the brunette furrowed his eyebrows in pleasure as he deepened the kiss. jenna's hand slowly slid her hand into his soft hair.

there weren't words to describe what this was like. heaven, and sleeping in late, and chocolate cake, that's what jenna was feeling. it didn't make sense but it felt right.

they almost didn't notice when their cart hit back on the ground.

"i love you." tyler's lips now felt swollen without hers on them. his voice was so hoarse and low, it made the blondes heart skip a beat.

"i love you too, ty."
