Chapter 14-Mistake

{Joe's POV}

Macklynn ran up to me giving me the biggest hug. After a couple of seconds she loosened her grip.
J-"Does that mean your ok with that"
M-"Yeah have you seen Dianne's face"
J-"Yeah it's very beautiful" I looked over at Dianne and smirked at her, she smirked back which made me laugh a little.
M-"I didn't mean that, I mean her smile"
J-"Oh"
M-"When she came to pick us up this morning she seemed happier and more smiley than usual"
J-"Did she"
M-"Yeah you make my sister happy and I don't think any man has ever made her this happy or comfortable"
J-"Well that's good to hear"
What Macklynn said made me feel good but it also made me sad because it meant that even Dianne's dad didn't make her happy and comfortable and he isn't even the dad that beat her. My heart broke a little but I was glad to hear that at least I made her feel good.
Macklynn hugged me again, tighter than before. She whispered in my ear "Thank you Joe" "It's okay." Macklynn let go of me and grabbed my hand she walked me over to Dianne so I was stood in front of her. Macklynn took Eponiné out of Dianne's arms and stood to the side of us.
D-"Macklynn what are you doing?"
M-"I want you two to kiss"
I looked at Dianne then we both looked at Macklynn.
D-"Are you serious?"
M-"Yep"
D-"Alright if your sure"
My hand drifted up Dianne's hip and I pulled her close to me she wrapped her hands around my neck. Her lips connected with mine. Every time I kiss Dianne it's like I'm kissing her for the first time again. I get butterflies in my stomach and tingles down my spine. How did I get so lucky?
We pulled apart, our foreheads still touching we look down to see a very smiley Macklynn and I think I even saw a small smile on Eponiné's face too.
D-"Happy now"
M-"Yep"
Dianne shook her head a smiled. Me and Macklynn looked at each other and started laughing. I think Macklynn is actually excepting me, I don't know about Eponiné though but she is the youngest so will be the most shy.
M-"What should we do"
D-"What do you mean"
M-"Well if Joe is here to stay we need to get to know him and used to him right"
D-"Right"
M-"So why don't we start of by doing something all together"
J-"So great"
D-"What do you wanna do"
M-"Well that's what I asked you moron"
Dianne raised her eyebrows.
M-"Joking, joking take a chill pill well I did ask you first but the moron bit I'm joking about"
D-"Right Yeah"
I chuckled at Macklynn, she was such a little character.

{Macklynn's POV}

I wonder how long Joe will last. Then again the others never really seemed to love Dianne in the way that Joe does. Wait does Joe love Dianne? Have they said I love you yet? I mean it's obvious that Dianne loves Joe then again I would probably notice the signals from Dianne very easily as I've known her my whole life. But Joe I'm not sure. He seems genuine. I feel bad for calling Adisha now and telling her there's a strange man here to hurt Dianne. I made the call when me and Eponiné went into the kitchen and left them alone. I expected to come back and find Dianne unconscious on the floor but when me and Eponiné walked in they were kissing. I'm confused. Most of Dianne's previous boyfriends have hurt her so what's to say Joe won't do the same. Joe seems nice but so did the others at the start maybe I did the right thing by calling Adisha. Will Dianne be mad ? Surely she won't be I did this to protect her after all she is always protecting us and for once I wanted to protect her. Now was my opportunity to find out more about Joe and Dianne's relationship and see if Joe's like the others. We all sat down on the sofa, Eponiné was sat on one side of Dianne squeezing her arm and Joe was sat at the other, I was sat next to Joe.
M-"Can I ask you questions"
D-"About What"
M-"Well I want to know more about your relationship and Joe"
D-"Ok but you better ask Joe first"
M-"Is it ok"
J-"Yeah it's fine by me ask away"
M-"Cool, where did you meet?"
I went straight in I had no time to waste.
J-"At school we sit next to each other in registration"
M-"Have you not met before that"
D-"Not really"
M-"But you go to the same school"
J-"Yeah but we weren't in any lessons together before but now we have loads of lessons together"
D-"Not that we've been to many"
M-"When did you first kiss"
J-"Urm a few days ago"
M-"No I mean how did it happen"
J-"Oh well I sang Dianne a song after making a huge speech in the courtyard about how amazing she is"
M-"Really"
D-"Yeah one of his friends"
J-"Former friends after what he did to you he is definitely not my friend anymore anyway continue"
D-"One of Joes former friends came up to me and pushed me to the ground and started calling me horrible names and said some not nice things but Joe ran out to come and protect me that's when he ended up making the big speech"
M-"That's a cool story to tell"
D-"It is"
Dianne and Joe looked at each other with love in there eyes. Now I was feeling really bad for calling Adisha. I needed to figure out fast what Joe was up to and if he's playing games.
M-"Why are you here Joe"
D-"Macklynn"
M-"Oh I didn't mean to be rude I just wondered because I thought you were supposed to be at school"
J-"No it's fine and urm ... well I noticed Dianne wasn't in registration so I texted her and she said she was ill so I thought I would come over to look after her but she said she didn't want me to but because I was worried I came anyway to see if she was ok"
M-"You really care about my sister don't you"
I looked at Joe straight in the eyes and he looked straight back and said.
J-"Yeah, yes I do I love her she is my world"
Dianne leaned in to cuddle Joe and he kissed her forehead. Eponiné looked at me she knew what I was thinking. A single tear dropped down my face before the door swung open and police filled the house, Adisha entered with them. Oh no what have I done ?
