Chapter 38~Match Making

{Joe's POV}

Another day that came quickly this week. It was Wednesday. I normally like Wednesday but today I'm getting my French test back that Dianne practically did for me. She better have not been lying when she said she could speak French. I walked into Macklynn's room. I am so glad I finally finished the girls' new rooms. Macklynn's new room:

I'm quite proud of them. Anyway, I walked into Macklynn's room.

D-"Tu dois te préparer pour l'école"
M-"Je sais que j'essaye"

I guess Dianne definitely wasn't lying when she said she could speak French. At least I think that was French.

D-"Joe tu es son père lui dit de se préparer"
J-"I think you said my name but the rest I have no idea"
D-"Oh sorry I was just telling Macklynn to get ready and she said I'm trying and that's when I said to you-you're her dad tell her to get ready apart from it was all in French"
J-"Oh I'm amazing"
M-"What"
J-"I guessed you were talking in French"
D-"Okay"
J-"You know what I'll leave you two and go and find Eponiné"
D & M-"..."
J-"Right"

I went to go find Eponiné hopefully she would be speaking English. I walked into Eponiné's room.

To find her murmuring to herself in French "nous allons être en retard"

J-"What"
E-"Hi Daddy"
J-"What did you just say"
E-"I said we're going to be late in French"
J-"Oh I thought you swore"
E-"How is any of that a swear word"
J-"Do you know any swear words"
E-"Nope none"
J-"Okay that's good please can we keep it that way"
E-"Yep"
J-"Anyway do you need any help"
E-"Yeah I can't get my shoes and coat on"
J-"Maybe that's because you're putting your shoes on the wrong foot and you're putting your coat on inside out"
E-"Oh yeah thanks daddy"
J-"It's alright"
E-"Please can you carry me downstairs"
J-"Urmmm definitely"
E-"Yay"
J-"Hop on"

Eponiné jumps on my back and I ran down the hallway, down the stairs and to the front door. Dianne shouted "BE CAREFUL" Macklynn and Dianne soon came downstairs as well.

D-"To say we were running very late we've caught up with time quite nicely"
J-"Yeah"
D-"Let's go girls... and man"

On the way to all of our schools, we put on some music. We all looked like lunatics the way we were dancing. The song Don't stop believin' came on by Journey. We all loved that song and we're all singing our hearts out and we didn't even care if we sounded bad.
