Chapter 27~ Beautiful Soul

{Dianne's POV}

We wake up to Eponiné jumping on our bed.

E-"Wake up, wake up, wake up"
D-"Why, why, why"
E-"Its Monday we've all got school"
J-"Oh yeah"
E-"Come on it's my first day at school"
J-"No it's not"
E-"It's my first day with a mum and a dad"
J-"Oh"

Eponiné jumped onto Joe's lap to give him a huge hug. She then climbs across and gave me a huge hug to.

E-"Come on dad I'm hungry"
J-"... Oh right yeah let's go"

Joe and Eponiné quickly got ready before they went downstairs. Every time Eponiné called Joe dad it made my heart flutter. I needed to talk to Macklynn though.

D-"Hey Macklynn are you awake yet"
M-"Yeah why"
D-"Urmm I want to talk to you"
M-"By any chance is it about Eponiné calling Joe dad"
D-"Yeah"
M-"What's up"
D-"I just wanted to make sure you're ok"
M-"Yeah I'm fine I talked to Adisha about because Eponiné kept nearly calling Joe dad for a while"
D-"What did she say"
M-"She asked me questions and then made the point that Joe has been there for us more than are actual dad has and  probably loves us more"
D-"Yeah well Joe and I both love you and Eponiné very much"

Macklynn walked up to me and gave me a big hug.

M-"You and Joe are the best parents anyone could ask for you know"

I welled up when Macklynn said that. I had been looking after them for so long and because I was so young when I first started looking after them I always wondered whether I was doing it right or if I was even looking after them properly.

M-"Don't cry"
D-"I'm not"
M-"Then what's that tear doing falling down your cheek"
D-"Okay fine I'm slightly crying"
M-"I'm so grateful for all that you've done for me and Eponiné"
D-"I love you girls so much"
M-"Well we love you too"

Macklynn hugged me tightly as I bent down so I was at her height.

D-"We'd better get downstairs before I start crying again"
M-"Yeah Let's go"

We went downstairs and were greeted with a very excitable Eponiné attaching herself to our legs.

J-"Eponiné where have you gone... there you are"
M-"We can't move"
J-"Eponiné do you want to let them get to the kitchen"

Eponiné shook her head which made us all laugh a little.

J-"Right well I'll just have to peel you off of there legs then"

Joe came over and took a very giggly Eponiné off of our legs. He lifted her into the air which made her laugh even more.

M-"Whilst we're Eponiné free let's go to the kitchen "

When we got to the kitchen Joe had breakfast all made for us. Macklynn turned her head and smiled before she ran towards the food.

D-"If you want breakfast you might want to come here now"
E-"Why"
D-"Because we've got a very hungry Macklynn"

Macklynn had food all over her face already so we all quickly sat down and eat before she had eaten everything.

E-"You might wanna clean your face before you go to school Macklynn"
M-"Why"
D-"You've got a little bit of food on your face"
J-"By that we mean you've got food practically everywhere"

Macklynn went to look in the mirror. As soon as she saw her face she burst out laughing.

M-"I get what you mean"

Macklynn walked over to the sink, turned the tap on and tried to stretch her neck so her head would be under it.

M-"I can't reach it"
